Mohd Suhaimi Fariz 2 Report post Posted November 30, 2017 I think its now at the bottom of the screen? Not sure who is the supplier for the IFE in the a350. see the usb port placement above ^ Ah, ok. That makes sense.
S V Choong 4 Report post Posted November 30, 2017 it looks like cathay and dragon's IFE just a updated, larger one? see the usb port placement above ^ It has been 3-4 years since they introduced this size and seats for both KA and CX. I remembered I was on the same seat in 2014 on my A321s and A330-300s to mainland China. They have this interior on their CX B777-300ER and long haul A330-300 since 2013/14 too. For 777-200 and 777-300 non-ERs, I believe they have the old seats for awhile... and may have changed to these seats by now. Their B747-400 and A340-300 had the old bucket style green and blue seats though.
Lim Kar Yong 0 Report post Posted November 30, 2017 Wish i was there to see the plane. On the other hand, the a350 microsite on MAB's site is live - you can see the new seats clearly: https://www.malaysiaairlines.com/my/en/campaign/a350.html Just noticed that there are closed up shots of F, Y+ and Y seats but not J seats. geoff.leo 0 Report post Posted November 30, 2017 Someone needs to get rid of those old 747s scattered all over KLIA. What an eyesore. And MAHB, please flatten those unsightly "Not-So-Grand Canyons" at the southern end of the airport. Back to topic....she ain't a Boeing, but she looks good nonetheless in MAS colours. flee 5 Report post Posted November 30, 2017 Malaysia Airlines receives first GST-exempt A350 XWB aircraft See: http://www.theedgemarkets.com/article/malaysia-airlines-receives-first-gstexempt-a350-xwb-aircraft Not sure what GST exempt means - maybe they don't have to pay GST on the operating lease costs. But the rationale for exemption seems a bit off...
RaymondT 0 Report post Posted November 30, 2017 (edited) 1toilet for First Class, 2 for Business and only 5 for economy 5 for economy with only 257 Y/Y+ seem on par with their A330. This is marginally better than the 5 for 263 on the A330. J on the other hand only has 2 for 35 on the A350 versus 3 for 27 on the A330. 1 for first class seems ok, since the A380 had 2 for 8 seats. I think there are 2 lavatories accessible to those in the F cabin, both located in front and one on each side. One is directly in front of 1K and the other is on port side behind the cockpit.
