What Do You Want To Comment about AirAsia ??

Recommended Posts

First of all,I am the frequenttraveller and I always choose Air Asia as my favourite official airline! I flew once with QZ and a couple of flight on AK. Overall I am very satisfied with the services, it is comfortable, safe and its fare is affordable. One problem that I faced it always is the fights delayed. Although it delayed, there is a reason behind it. It serves many destinations at once..Since I was studying at the technical school which situated in Langkawi Island, I always travelled with AK. One day, I booked a ticket for myself to KUL , everything is well planned. Two to three weeks later, I was about to fly back to KUL.. In a sudden, Air Asia send a message to me which it stated “flight cancellation”. I was very angry and quite disappointed at the time and I contacted Air Asia Call Center early in the morning, 5am. They replied to me that I am able to choose any another flight to replace the cancelled flight..Overall I am quite satisfied with their service...spanking new airbuses, lovely stewardess in their red uniform..That's what I can say about my experience flying on AK.Anyway,i will continue to support Air Asia..in good times and bad..Air Asia gives the chance to people who have never flown before to fly!...

Go! Go! Go! AirAsia..

Well, my rating(1-10): 8.5

Since there is no flight delayed for my airbus flight but once for boeing flight from Sibu to Kuching...

Delayed...

Actually 7:45 pm but delayed for one hour from airasia message, concerning tat is not true, so decided to go to airport early.

Well, airasia fares are reasonable... Got cheap tickets jus ask my parents to book it...

And also... Airasia's pilot more friendly... Hehe.. But some other airline pilots are also friendly.

Food prices, expensive... :(

No idea, the way to earn money more....

But disappointed for the decreased hubs KCH-SBW flights... Jus for one flight... Haiz :(

Lastly... Baggage excess fees... <_>

One kilo excess... RM15

So easy to earn money...

i want to comment about the LCCT.. can i?

there are scarce choice of food to be chosen in LCCT, im frequently had 3-4 hours gap between my next flight, but i had to choose only mcD, food garden, or coffee bean..

just arrive KCH from KUL, i saw food garden in LCCT, but donno where and what is it.

sometimes certain sector i fly with airasia, the music volume is quite loud, cant sleep and quite disturbing..

haa, one more, i ordered hotdog, but they said it is sold out although my seat is 5th from behind (and they sell food from behind aisle), so, distrupt my eating mood.. they should have good inventory or what so ever, to control the amount of food brought into an aircraft...

Here's my comment about AK. My first flight with them was KUL-PEN-KUL, also my first LCC flight. The booking via Internet was extremely easy with e-ticket ready to be printed out after right after you pay. Fare is very reasonable most of the time if you book early. The airport is pretty messy even early in the morning. So many ppl and it took me quite a while to get to the entrance. Waiting hall is nowhere near an airport standard, but spacious enough for everyone. More shops in the airport plz! One thing I found really amazing about AK pax is that they q even before the staff call for the flight  Amateur like me end up at the back of the line. The boarding went really smoothly for my flight and I was running all the way to my plane. The best thing about AK is that I can walk around the plane, listen to the engines and smell the fresh air! Anyway, even though I'm the last one in the q, I was the first one onboard :drinks: Fresh and bright were the first two words pop up as I were entering the plane. I took the last row seat by the window. Our flight delayed for an hour not because of technical issue or sumthing but we had extra pax+s. Took them a while to find those two stalkers! They were escorted by the police and I dunno what happen next to them. Flight went smoothly, as usual, I steal the menu, magazine, safety card and skybus schedule inlfight :pardon: Captain made a lot of announcements but I can't understand a single word he's saying but kudos to him for such a fine flight. IFE entertainment is at their best. The tight skirt show the panty-line is an excellent way to kill time beside reading the 360 or listening to crap songs that were played inflight. Not much different with MH except jetway and mango drink they serve onboard. I give AK 10 for now. Going to BKK with them this spring..........that could change the rating, or not ;)

I give 9.99 out of 10. AK is simply amazing! I have done some 16 sectors in 2007 and all of the flights have been excellent. Their fares are great (RM130 return to Labuan!..., and RM153 return trips each to BTU and TWU soon), online ticket purchases were a breeze with more choices for payment, and the great online check-in service which I have used a few times for short trips.

On three different occasions, three different Captains greeted guests on board and saw them off when they deplaned. I have never experienced this on THAT 'premium, expensive carrier'. Requests to visit the cockpit for videos and still pictures photography were courteously consented. I like the personal touch, not just by 'world's best cabin staff', but the Commanders themselves.

Cabin crew were always cheerful, while selling food and merchandise on board, to greeting pax. Once a stewardess thought that I was about to trip on the airstairs while taking pictures during boarding, she quickly came forward to remind me to mind the stairs. No, I was not about to trip or anything, but her anticipation of a possible 'accident' is admirable. Excellent training there!

Delays? There were two or three only, but managed to arrive on time. Weather issues is understandable.

NO nasty and significant 'fuel surcharge' increases. Just some RM2-3 throughout the year. Certainly not RM10 increases within three months like THAT airline.

In all, I can't find any serious fault with Air Asia. They will get all my business from 2008 onwards. And I will tell my family and friends to fly Air Asia wherever possible.

Finally AIR ASIA doesn't rip off passengers' money in desparation to make profits of epic proportions.

For 2008, am already booked on AK to BTJ (Jan), PDG (Mar) and KBV (Jun). Aiming to do monthly trips on AK. So far have enjoyed every bit of AK trips, so much so that my WEBSITE now looks like an AK advert! I guess I need not comment anymore, right? :D

Anyone ever try AirAsia Sky Bus? :D

I did, when my flight arrived at 11pm, that was the only transportation available and cheap. I will never use them again, the driver tot he's in Formula 1 or sumthing! How come you garrive at KL sentral from LCCT only in 35 minutes  Though, 80% of the pax are pilots, which was really cool.

Since LCCT is part of the scope:

Please, can somebody fix the toilet at the departure hall?

For AK,

Priority boarding for families with children please. Those who purchase express boarding can always go first, but families with children should go before general public.

I took the morning flight from KUL to TGG on 18Dec . . . total mess in the check-in hall. Thankfully there were five of us and while some wait in line, I could go ahead to check to see that we were not queuing in the wrong lane.

Security check was most pleasantly accomplished - simply because we went in immediately after check-in and there wasn't a crowd yet. Later, we could see that the chaos at check-in had migrated to the security check area.

And then to the departure hall as well. While queues form in front of each gate, boarding took place according to a schedule that has absolutely nothing to do with the flight's departure time. At departure time, boarding of our flight has not yet commenced and no staff was at the gate.

The flights at the other gates were boarding - one at a time to ensure that passengers from different flights were not mixed . . . very inefficient as this meant that the entire terminal was reduced to a one-gate terminal during boarding. We finally were processed and the aircraft pushed back almost an hour late. And this was just the first flight of the day . . . and I am certain that the other flights too were late. Passengers from a flight boarding at gate P1 were at times processed at our gate P3 and then sent back to P1 to wait . . . and later boarded when one group of passengers felt neglected and came back to remind the staff they were still waiting to be boarded.

Given these conditions - and especially procedures - I could just imagine the delays snow-balling throughout the day . . . I certain would not book myself on an AirAsia flight that departs anytime after the mid morning. A delay seems almost inevitable.

Service onboard the plane was ok . . . as is to be expected on an LCC flight.

My experiences with AK were before the LCCT and A320s... and well.. they sure were a long way better than MH, and on occasionally, even more sincere and forthcoming than SQ gals.... That was before the massive expansive and during the good old days when there were RM2 sales, and RM20 in tax... :-)

Remember flying KUL-MYY on 9M-AAB, the hybrid AK aircraft. Absolutely top notch flight, and even better service by the crew :-)

Once when I and my family were on this flight to Bangkok. Before that, I heard the ad about AirAsia said that they had amazing warm and friendly crew at

. But anyway on the flight, one of the flight attendants scolded me when I was SMSing to my friend before offing the phone. I replied to her, can you please be more gentle. And then she snubbed to me.

Later when I was in the air. The food and beverages they charged were slightly expensive than the normal price. I asked them to charge normally. When I saw the same flight attendant. I decided to talk to her after that she snubbed and ignored me.

Next time, I would rather take by Thai or Lufthansa to Bangkok.

First time taking AK on raya haji 20th december LBU-KUL. Well, I try to have some positive impression about the airline. finally I let go from 'MAS' mentality that ruled all these years. But my first voyage on the flight was retime by an hour. But the second flight (KUL-LBU) was perfectly on time. I cant say much about the onbard service because It's low cost airline after all. However the Cabin crews onboard left me to believe that MAS crews are more professional in pampering passengers. I guess if you want the same level of smiles and friendliness you have to pay $$$...well, thats what my dad joked about...

My comments??? because of AirAsia, I've forgotten what MH is... seriously!!! Simply because when i needed to travel, cost comes into mind, and AirAsia became the answer to my needs, needless to say spending time to do booking at Travel agencies, it can be done at home...

Departure hall scene for AK flights is always amusing,.... everybody is KIASU/I... aircraft not there, everyone is already in the line waiting to storm/raid the aircraft..

Having to walk on ramp to my AK**** flights is delightful to my Delta. Crew services, I think most airlines are helpful, so no comments on whether or not their crew are better than others. :D

Airport taxes is always on the rising meter..... why oh why!!!!????

n time performance.... welll they performed miserably actually... but once they get airborne, they'll do everything high speed from high speed climb, cruise, decent and also approaches hehehe...

In flight sales is my favourite... lots of things that keeps u wondering whether or not are they're still available on board..

SkyBus.. my only mode of transport from LCC to KL city.. only comment is that they always delay their departure time just like their planes did... wait until its full!!!

Welll all in all its a mixture of good and bad comments... nothing is perfect. :pardon:

Well .. for the past few trips on AK, I don't face any delay nor delay from Skybus. In fact I reach the destination much earlier like 15minutes If I would travel by flying, AK would be my major carrier for domestic flights.

I really hate LCCT, the amount of people turns the place like a refuge camp. Everyone is so kiasu, want to be first to board the plane or to be first to buy food. That why I prefer sitting at the arrival hall for a quiet environment while I can use my laptop to online.

The last trip on AK, I was given permission to visit the cockpit after the plane landed, I can conclude that the pilots were friendly as well.

If I going to rate AK from the scale 1 to 10, I'll give 9.5

I would like to give firefly a try someday before the ATR-72 replace the dutch lady. I never been into a Fokker-50 before, I heard from my mom it was a good experience.

been travelling with ak almost 4 years now . delay of flight not to be mentioned , i had too much of it during the early days of ak  , but for the past 1 to 2 years , most of my flight departed and landed on time .

well, i remembered it was 26.12.2004 ( 3 years anivesary of my incident and tsunami ) , my flight from bki finally landed at KUL ( at that point of time , still MTB) before 7 pm . oh yeah , i was happy tat i can reach malacca before 9 pm. Patienly waited for my luggage and it never came out :shok: , consult the ak ground staff and he told my luggage still at BKI :shok: !!!!!! oh no !!!! . and because many flight were cancelled tat day ( due to tsunami) , my luggage safely reached KUL around 2 am . with tat , i reached malacca around 4 am . <_ midnight taxi charge almost killed me src="%7B___base_url___%7D/uploads/emoticons/default_blum.gif" alt=":p"> .

i guess tat was my worst case with ak , hope there will not be any problem in the future, since i still be travelling with ak :D .

PEACE

My worst case with AK, urgently need to get to KUL when i was still in S'wak. The departing flight was cancelled, so i cancelled it got on MH instead. Then when coming back cancelled again. Once again urgent, so took MH... Back then flying with MH is still a pleasure but not now since the snack box fiasco!

My first experience with AK is just the beginning of the year KUL-TWU-KUL(NationalService). I'm very impressed!! New planes, friendly stewardesses.. LCCT is not exactly great though (spent a night there) felt like i'm Tom Hanks in The Terminal!

Nevertheless Air Asia i can say is a breath of fresh air. No more we are confined to expensive tickets just to get around. I think AK did many Malaysians a favour, making air travel affordable. I salute Tony for that!! My next flight is next may KUL-TWU-KUL just RM150 including taxes... cheaper than driving to Penang!
