Wow, thanks for sharing TK.

Is this the F-20 tigershark?

Thanks a lot for the great shots, TK :good:

Double engines, so 'just' a F-5, S V ;)

As far as memory serves me, don't recall the Tigershark ever entered service with any air force. In fact, don't think Northrop ever completed the certification exercise.

Reports from that era indicate RMAF was one of the target customers. Other I remember was the Saudis. Just out of (hypothetical) interest, would the RMAF still consider these 'light' jets as front liners anymore, now that we have the Hornets and Migs already and Sukhois on the way ?

Thanks for the clarification BC and Pieter. Indeed the F-20 looks very similar to the F-5s.

So the whole F-20 programme was abandoned by Uncle Sam?

TK was well equipped - 2 DSLRs, one with wide angle for the aircraft on static display, one with a long zoom, presumably for Ah Mois!! See the grin on his face!

"I haven't seen an F-5 for ages....let me give you a kiss!!"

We detoured from the display area for some action shots, providing some amusement for the ground crew nearby. Geez I hope the ground was not damaged!

These two lucky brokes just got off the C-130, after a joyride over Singapore! - yes that's Raymond Ngu with Yong Kiat.

The medics were on patrol via golf carts. But TK's fainting wasn't convincing enough to qualify for a mouth to mouth resucitation.

TK, Kwek.... simple MARVELOUS :good: :clapping:

More please... fly-past especially... :clapping:

Pieter, I understand from Kwek, the last open-day by the RSAF

was 3 years ago, so you might be looking like 3-4 years from now

and mostlikely the F5e won't be around.... :pardon:

Hmm...true..the F-5 will most probably be retired...but another new aircraft will join their fleet right?

Hi Pieter,

It's supposed to be a bi-annual event but the last time it skipped a year, so there was a three year gap.

Hopefully we see the next one in 2008.

TK loves big planes....as evidenced by these pics. No ambiguity of the operator of the KC-135R.
