I am curious - who is MH marketing agency now? The recent news of complimentary wifi in business/business suite and for MH platinums aren't publicized at all (unless you go to to their media release section on their website - but who really goes there?). All they have on their social is sales to Australia or something similar. Shouldn't they announce this on their socials and not let their passengers find out about it via other news site or blogs? Do like a tease - "we have something to announce tomorrow" or whatever. Nope. Nothing. Gate to gate wifi is also something worthy of an announcement (the switching off of PED well, most people don't switch it off anyway). Even new destinations or flights. 

And most people will now have an idea of what MH's new business class will be like but again, nothing from MH. I understand they haven't officially launched it yet, but leaking it to a blogger and it's out everywhere except on MH seems a bit of a misstep.

Yea seems to be the same livery used on the a330neo. Mild batik motive on the Wau and it being angled very oddly. 

Also noticed wifi dome installed.

Very odd indeed for the Wau. Maybe if the original slanted Wau was used, the batik pattern wouldn't fit perfectly as it focuses on symmetry design. Though to be honest, the batik pattern seems out of place.

But not the Jalur Gemilang towards the back yeah? It's nice on a few frames but not so much if it's on all the 45 new planes coming in. I like the batik motif on the wau tho.

MAG keeps tinkering with its branding and livery. Sounds as if they do not have an agency handling these matters. So which is the definitive livery now? I don't know!

Even the MALAYSIA AIRLINES font is different. It's like a hybrid of the current font and the previous font (like on the 777/747).

From sources over there there's another 737-8 with the MH tail logo in the hangar but body is still in metalic strip. This may be the 2nd frame. No info if the tail logo is using MVA's revised logo plus Songkit/Batik motive.

I must say that although the original red-white livery had a straightened wau, it doesn't seem as "weird" or distorted in pictures as compared to this new one. 

Maybe the white disc in the original had a framing effect that mitigated the distortion.  This new one feels like it's slanted forward instead of straight.

MH will increase NRT from 7 to 12 weekly flights beginning 17Sep to 28Oct. 

I assume this is due to slot issues at HND? Seems rather odd for them to move to NRT for 6-7 weeks and then move back to HND at the beginning of NW23/24 schedule (MH's HND winter schedule is not open for sale yet).

Have seen reports that the catering in the  KLIA domestic lounge has changed to Plaza Premium which has resulted in marked improvement in quality and choice. Looks like an egg station has been introduced as well as some western breakfast items.

Was in the regional lounge yesterday and there are also some improvements. 

• Different serving dishes, perhaps a few more but can't be sure
• Bread/kuah was covered 
• Fresh sandwiches made to order similar to pre covid but better 
• Snacks available at the bar which was also manned 
• Tea station so no need to queue at the counter
• Dilmah tea instead of Boh'

Most of the points above have been raised in feedbacks and surveys Ive submitted over the past few months.

Was excited to try MH inflight meal post Brahim with upcoming flight next week😁. But it turns out like this: Malaysia Airlines and Brahim's agree to stay together until Aug 31 (nst.com.my)

When brahim took over mas catering, brahim profit was guaranteed. brahim is naturally unhappy when profit guaranteed was removed.

To build a new flight kitchen at KUL will take 2 to 3 years. MAS Awana may use the old kitchen at SZB in the interim period. However, it won't be cheap to move meals from SZB to KUL. 

A few decades ago, mas catering/brahim was the largest central kitchen in the country. Nowadays, central kitchen of some hotels and restaurants chain are larger than brahim. Anyone with money could build a central kitchen but operation is another matter. Given mas track record and corporate culture, its central kitchen is unlikely efficient or cost competitive. mas awana will eventually a liability to mas.

Given AK is operating below 2019's capacity, its meal supplier is a perfect fit to mas regional and domestic routes. however, due to politic, mas is unlikely to source from them unless desperate.

Seems like Malaysia will follow ICAO NTL pax convention by making inbound airlines responsible for NTL pax instead of outsourcing it to a third party.

Makes me wonder what the current arrangement is. Airlines don't get held responsible if pax show up with the wrong documents?
