BC Tam 2 Report post Posted December 4, 2010 Read a disturbing news on the local Chinese daily today (See Hua Daily News pg. A26). Charter flights to and from BKI would be temporarily stopped to allow the airport contractor to finish the upgrading works I think something more sinister behind story already

KS Ong 1 Report post Posted December 5, 2010 Something to add during my recent trip home from KK via AK. My flight was delayed for almost an hour due to torential rain. Passengers have to battle the rain, armed only with umbrella. Can hardly see the opposite of the runway AK's staffs were literally soaking wet.

flee 5 Report post Posted December 6, 2010 I personally feel that they are playing cat and mouse games with MAHB. Elsewhere, they are not too bothered with this issue. MAHB have screwed up their expansion plans with the long delays to the new LCCT construction and completion. So they are using the aerobridge as their remaining arm twisting weapon. That is probably why they are still holding out.
Sri Ramani K. 0 Report post Posted December 6, 2010 front door closed? Correct Nick, during heavy rains like these, boarding is via the aft door. Just to prevent water flooding the forward galley which can seep into the avionics compartment.
