Walter Sim 1 Report post Posted October 1, 2009 (edited) Can we create a thread in Anjung Tinjau for these Thunderbirds , then all the pics from here can go specifically into that thread Easier for everyone to find it then Created this topic, and quoting all the pictures from the other thread to here if you guys don't mind. Posted by Alan B. For those who missed their arrival...... Posted by KS Ong Thanks MIR for the infos today... Only 5 T-Birds came. The KC10, C17, 3xT-Birds were no where to be found as at 7pm. Any idea where they went? The spectators... The Birds... Two Heads in a HEAD... I remember seeing them when I was like 8 back in '87. Sure bring back some memories. Managed to dig up the old brochure. '87 Tour Brochure Front/Back Cover Front Page - The team Back Page - The fleet Posted by Norman Some shots managed to get "in between Buffer Overload[/b}" Arrival of first wave... Leader breaking right for downwind... Thunderbird 1 Thunderbird 2 Thunderbird 3 Thunderbird 4 Thunderbird 8 Posted by Chaity Wah Ong Ong, that brochure is very nice with signatures too ! Team A behind the shops got the formation shots like Ah Ong. Team B near the factory got the split up shots like Alan B & Norman + touchdown shots Mine is 4 F16s morphing into 2 F18s Well, almost ..... Posted by Radzi Shooting with Norman, Alan Bligh and Kader from the touchdown zone. Initial flypast. Landing shots. Thunderbird 1 Thunderbird 2 Thunderbird 3 Thunderbird 4 Thunderbird 8, the only 2-seater in the group. Unfortunately I forgot to make the necessary exposure adjustments, therefore all the pictures are washout. And with the successive landings, even jpegs are running into the buffer, there is simply no time to check on the exposure accuracy. My own shots, shooting @105mm hahaha. MIR 2 Report post Posted October 1, 2009 Excellent shots of the Thunderbirds, Malaysianwingers ! Victor, good catch of the C-17 (05-5147). It departed from Townsville AFB, Australia to SZB at 0715 (Malaysian time) using callsign 'Reach 248'. It is assigned to Pacific Air Forces 15th Airlift Wing and Hawaii Air National Guard 154th Wing, Hickham AFB-Hawaii. I guess the other C-17 to SZB which arrived SZB yesterday is assigned to the 3rd wing & Alaska Air National Guard 176th Wing, Elemendrof AFB-Alaska.

Fitri Shukri 0 Report post Posted October 1, 2009 (edited) Arrived late. Only managed to catch this USAF C17 landing. Managed to view two F-16 flypast KLCC. However didn't manage to capture it on camera as I was driving and it was too far. Can't wait for tomorrow. I'll be 'stationed' at rooftop parking, MAS Complex, SZB. Norman 1 Report post Posted October 1, 2009 Here are my takes for Thursday afternoon... Thunderbird 7 landing after a circuit around Twin Tower (I guessed) Belly shot of Thunderbird 5 on one of her highspeed maneuver during practice Thunderbird 6 during practice run.. Thunderbird 5... notice the inverted '5'... she'll fly inverted over #6 Thunderbird 5 & 6 on final for approach for landing.. Thunderbird 5 breaks off... Thunderbird 5 landing phase... Thunderbird 6 landing C17 support aircraft came in and caught us by surprise, though she'd landed Close up shot and the smoky touchdown Then our local 'topguns' turn to show the visitors what we can do with flying machines.. Didn't get her performance shots... too engrossed on watching her dancing in the sky.. Here she's back on earth... and nice side profile with airbrake deployed... ... thanks for watching and let see what Friday will bring...
