In Townsville, the double-seater was seen as No.5, though its rightful number is 8. Then doing a high speed pass over the runway.. She did only one pass... Then out own SU30MKM doing a solo dance in the sky... SU-27's and their successors including SU-30's were designed to rival the F-15. So they are heavier and larger with better combat radius than F-16's. I agreed with Flee. Norman and the others there certainly picked the right spot ! Well I hope we get rain or something sometime tonight or early tomorrow morning. The haze, whether airborne or heat induced, is not good! The haze, whether airborne or heat induced, is not good! yup..and the F-16s were built to counter the numerical advantage of the cheaper russian fighters back then..but still..wouldnt the pilots be intimidated..i mean look at the size!! i just wrote down the full list of maneuvers normally performed by the thunderbirds just so i get a general idea of when to get the best shots!problem is..i have a nikon D80 in my hands and no idea how to use it..anyone mind giving me a crash-course? On Friday morning, a guy standing next to me with a D90 asked me the same question. I suggested putting it into sport mode and shoot. TK said, "why not whack it into P mode and bump up the ISO a bit"... I think for you the problem is that you are not familiar with the camera. Practice is always the best solution. Maybe you want to turn up early in the morning and practice shooting the Fireflys and other aircraft... Shoot the C-17s and the SU-30 for practice. TK 0 Report post Posted October 3, 2009 Iwan.. Take it easy with your new camera. New to it is good...then we learn.By the way, everybody is not familiar with their cameras...so not too worry. It is only my Advice, use "P" mode. Look on top left round dial..look for the Letter P, you also see M, A, S = Manual, Aperture and Shutter.. U have auto mode and so on...Why do we use P mode... It is like AUTO mode, BUT you are "able" to compensate your exposure compensation And ISO setting. I don't use P mode...it is good for beginner, WHY is it good...?? Every time you shoot, go back and review your exif data... see what the camera did and learn the setting...this sort of tutorial needs face to face conversation and hands ON.. I hope some other people may help you. Take it easy... Share a few... I just lock my 80-400mm to a certain range and shoot... I have no time to Zoom and shoot + Chasing these mighty velocity F-16...he he Shot at Shutter mode 1/800s (Iwan = i sellect the letter "S" on your top left dial) ISO 320 or sometimes i put 400....why on a HOT day, with fast planes in the sky i shoot with high ISO...??? hhmm..ISO sensitivity...to make picture clearer or details at low light...but i have plenty of light...so why need more.. remember fighter jets has many angles... some dark areas need to be in details..which i like it...I know of the Noise effect, but it gives a clearer picture. This is my style...other people who knows more on his/her camera, or practices for many years has many more way...any suggestions appreciated. Close up...
