  1. I think Tony is making a big deal over nothing. BKI-DPS was only 3 weekly. He is just trying to make an example of that route to try and push forward his agenda with regards to the LCCT (cowshed). I didn't believe anyone until I went there myself. It is a cowshed and we were queueing up all the way onto the apron!
  2. Had enough complaints from Tony. Just get over it. He doesn't complain about having to use aero bridges in Singapore does he? What is his problem? Even with low oil prices, he complains. I hope it is all just his usual rhetoric. It will be a shame if AK moves it's HQ from Malaysia. Without it, KUL's aim of being an aviation hub is gone
  3. Good to ask questions Raymond, we are always happy to answer them! Makkah is the holiest city in Islam, followed by Madinah (where Prophet Muhammad is buried). Jerusalem is third
  4. I remember asking them about it as I was confused to see that 3 letter code. They did fly to CHC at some point from KUL IIRC
  5. No internet those days.. Had to get my dad or mum to drive me to the airport on the weekend to look at the FIDS... No google so later had to ask at information or call them to ask where 'CHC' was... LOL
  6. Forgot that, airlines will not even fly here. Why bother? Major airlines can't even fly here with rock bottom rates! Stupid move by DCA
  7. F27 that year... F50 was later on I'm sure
  8. Agreed ... 34 inch economy seats like before and clean cabin/toilets. That was what MAS was famous for, and should strive for to gain back all the lost custom. If we can't compete with EK and SQ for IFE, then this may be the way forward
  9. Aiyoyo, doesn't she know that only we, the keyboard warriors, are allowed to give comments and suggestions??!
  10. So excited!! Wish they would reuse this iconic livery on all aircraft
  11. Missed opportunity for MAB. This will probably be like KLM's economy comfort where you get extra legroom for slightly higher prices
  12. I think that they should try at least CDG or FRA. Probably CDG as there were about 130k pax per year on that route. London will be overkill. Manchester might be an option as there must be at least 5 million people living within 2 hours journey ...
  13. Very shortsighted move by MAS. They have lost the goodwill of many customers when they chopped their network... Then various cost cutting measures with their on board services including catering and cleaning... This is the final straw. Luckily in Malaysia, we have a choice of carriers so I'm sure most people will vote with their feet
  14. I really hope they consider restarting AMS when their financial/logistic situation allows them to. It was one of the routes i have used countless times over the last 18 years. Nice touch by Schiphol though - especially touching because of the horrific loss of MH17 almost 2 years ago which affected so many lives all around the world but especially in Holland and Malaysia.
  15. Very true... How bad must it be for MH to pull out of important cities like FRA, CDG and AMS
  16. Great news, about time too! Was wondering when they would announce it
  17. GA CGK-KUL-CDG is a great idea! Kills two birds with one stone. There is a market I'm sure between CGK, KUL and CDG.
  18. Really sad to see that but great to know that people still care about MH
  19. Agree with Azizul.. Wasn't expecting much on the BA service but seriously impressed with the 789 WTP...
  20. Sad to see MH leave many destinations... But if that's what it takes to keep it alive, so be it
  21. Interesting bit of history there, Hakan! Thanks for sharing! Love the retro THY!
  22. Lol! I will have nightmares about the snake box
