Radzi 2 Report post Posted July 29, 2008 MPB was approaching 14L with cruising speed but it was just a fly by and landed about 30 minutes later. Fly by or go around? One AK did a go around on Sunday afternoon too, after you guys left. Reason? Unstabilized approach. While an unstabilized approach could be the pilots mistake, I always respect pilots who admit their mistake and did go around rather than pushing it and creating an incident. Radzi 2 Report post Posted July 29, 2008 I think it was a fly by, gears were not deployed First action of a go around is to retract the flap, then the landing gear.
Simon 3 Report post Posted July 29, 2008 First action of a go around is to retract the flap, then the landing gear. The gears were never down on approach.....It just flew above the runway with appropriate altitude
