TK 0 Report post Posted November 23, 2005 i was brought up in Sabah...but i dont have the sabahan way anymore...maybe some girls!!!! Attan has a few to share... Yaw damper...never off...ON all the time. Climb Thrust... Take off page 2, set the altitude for climb thrust...normal ops 1500 feet. Let the computer do the job...Pilot manage it, more so...monitor it!! APU, OFF after start...ON while taxi to bay...it takes almost 60 seconds to start an APU on the 777. Do as later as possible...save fuel for my pay!!!! PACKS or aircond...never off. There is a procedure for PACKS take off...that will increase some extra take off weight. Newark 7 departure...heading select most of the time...until the ATC tells us to go to a waypoint...then line select it, engage LNAV. current EFB...only MRP and MRQ.The rest in the process to buy. With current losses...who knows. But its a great tool...i like it, so are the pilots. A380 also has EFB...its a no go item..777 has the early start. Pioneer in EFB with Jepessen charts...first in the world.Proud of it. Tailstrike in ZRH... NOT A PILOT ERROR. It rotated with sudden gust winds...aircraft over rotate by itself. Too little macro seconds for the Pilot to counter it. It costs millions...lesson learned. No weight error too.... No Built in mechanism to weight the plane. All calculated as per the manufacturer or MAS technical side. They weight everything..all the seats, galleys items and so on...plus that to aircraft weight.. Figures are not round up on papers...but in FMC..yes. Example 254,689kg...= 254.7kg Radio conversation...position NEKET not Naked... By the way...to my love of Nikon...there is a position NIKON and CANON in Japan airspace!!! thanks

Rozhan 0 Report post Posted November 24, 2005 TK, a little question. When an aircraft is parked, waiting for the next flight, there is always this (lovely) sound. Does it come from the APU? I like that on the B744 as it has this high pitched 'whistling' sound. The B777 is more muted I think. But I never got to hear it properly due to sound insulation at the gates. TK 0 Report post Posted November 24, 2005 so far...777 has very little sound comes out from the aircond pack. i think it has a better silencer...compare to 747...it has an ultimate sound..high pitched whistling..i like the one on a jumbo...but dont go too close...painful to my ear!! APU...just like a normal sound in any aircraft. by the way...some of whats happening in Pudong...its terminal 2..
Rozhan 0 Report post Posted November 24, 2005 Thanks TK. I think a kid never fails to make the whistling sound when playing with plane models China seems to be undergoing development at a very fast pace. That is a lot of cranes in the picture. I think airports can start renting out buggies to bring passengers to the departure gates at such huge airports.

Walter Sim 1 Report post Posted November 25, 2005 wow, you seem to be enjoying your work TK! Nice! TK, one question, do you guys on a triple 7 have full flaps for landing? because i heard that you guys deploy flaps at 25 instead of full, would like to know how legitimate this is. Thanks.. Keep the pictures COMING!!
