Isaac 0 Report post Posted August 16, 2012 You know what, ET has the same J class seats on their brand new B787, delivered yesterday...... It is not the same. It is a similar model as the one MH has on their new 333 and it is an angled-flat seat. With all 4 rows of 24 Cloud Nine seats (ET Business Class) installed between Doors 1L/R and Doors 2L/R, there isn't enough space for the seat to go fully flat at conventional seating setup... unless they have the CO or KL (from next year) type of long-haul J seat... Mohd Suhaimi Fariz 2 Report post Posted August 20, 2012 Oh no. Doesn't PVG make better sense ? Well, they did upgrade PEK to double daily late last year so the network planning guys probably know the market can support the A380 in PEK rather than PVG. Isaac 0 Report post Posted August 20, 2012 Well, they did upgrade PEK to double daily late last year so the network planning guys probably know the market can support the A380 in PEK rather than PVG. But the MAS network planning guys have also made some highly unpopular decision such as moving the HKG flight to past midnight...
Mohd Azizul Ramli 2 Report post Posted August 20, 2012 I believe PEK is also highly congested and slot constrained, thus the A380 deployment.

Josh T 0 Report post Posted August 20, 2012 At least the big birds won't be sitting idly at KUL. It'll be interesting to see how much "rest time" the A380s get once all 6 are in operation.

Waiping 12 Report post Posted August 25, 2012 Sorry if this has been posted before. Saw on FB MH is offering SIN-KUL-NRT for SGD50 (approx. SGD600 all in one way). The inaugural should be 25 Nov and price is only valid up till Dec 2012. KUL - NRT return is about RM3k around that same time.

Isaac 0 Report post Posted August 25, 2012 No it's not. SGD50 is the base fare... seems to be the norm these days. Believe they do so just so they can charge people a crazy amount of taxes when redeeming a seat using FFP miles.
Mushrif A 3 Report post Posted September 1, 2012 Anybody know the details behind the estimated 12-hour technical delay of MH2 on 1/Sep? Now only expected to departure at noon today 2/sep. I suppose this is the first big delay of the 380 in MH service? Would be a nice scene at T4 LHR to have the MH 744 & 380 on the ground at the same time near the gates. Mushrif A 3 Report post Posted September 2, 2012 Looks like MH2 of 1/Sep finally left as MH2D on 2 Sep at about 3pm. And as a result, there will be two MH departures from LHR on the evening of 2/Sep leaving within an hour of each other.

BC Tam 2 Report post Posted September 2, 2012 (edited) Would be a nice scene at T4 LHR to have the MH 744 & 380 on the ground at the same time near the gates. I'm guessing a rather distressed scene at gate holding area for MH2D for those 15 hour late pax ? Considering how tight the current MH dugongs' schedules are, surely this will have some knock on repercussions for subsequent KUL-LHR and LHR-KUL flights over the next few days ?
