Hope this paves way for the other Philippine's carriers to start flying to KUL.

UL puts the A320 on new direct flights to KL. Best to catch the Wide bodies before they are gone.

Current CMB SIN KUL CMB service is going to daily as mentioned.

The Bad:

May possibly be the end of CES spell on the KMG-NNG-KUL route and hopefully Shenzhen comes back on this route.

By DURIE RAINER FONG

durie@thestar.com.my

SEMPORNA: Talks are underway to have direct flights from two eastern Russian cities to Kota Kinabalu by year-end.

Tourism Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ng Yen Yen said discussions between tourism officials from Vladivostok and Khavbarosk cities had already began.

“The state Tourism, Culture and Environment Ministry through Tourism Malaysia will have charter flights from these two cities to Kota Kinabalu this will happen.

“Malaysia has no direct flight from Russia. (The nearest is) Bangkok to Moscow and even Vietnam also has flights to the Russian capital,” she said.

Ng said Vladivostok is only seven hours by air from the state capital, adding this will allow more tourism players to penetrate the Russian market.

nice! maybe i should try SV's new 77W service!

Btw, be careful when you mix 77W & SV in the same sentence...SV is known to use "77W" in its schedules to signify its refurbished 772ER. That is why the real 77W is recognised as 773 in SV's schedules.
