Chaity 1 Report post Posted June 12, 2008 How many ATR Firefly place order? Simon, here's the answer from Wikipedia. On June 26, 2007, MAS signed an agreement for the acquisition of 10 ATR 72-500 aircraft with options of 10 more which has been exercised, to replace the F50. The aircraft will start to arrive from September 2008, with three planes in 2008, seven in 2009, four in 2010 and the rest in 2011.

Pieter C. 5 Report post Posted June 13, 2008 A more efficient aircraft than the grand old dutch lady especially with ridiculous fuel prices these days... What's the fuel-consumption per seat between the two types ? Insurance- and write-down costs for the ATR should be remarkably higher
