Rozhan 0 Report post Posted October 5, 2005 Thanks for sharing the magnificent views TK. The B727s bring me back to the 1980s. The engines are overwhelmingly loud
Pieter C. 5 Report post Posted October 5, 2005 Pieter, any preview? 9300[/snapback] No scanning available However, it's Issue 317 page 64 for the Hawks and page 72 for the MIG29
TK 0 Report post Posted October 5, 2005 DHL 9M-PMM....short, stubby, rugged, tough, noisy, loud,....a beauty beast! Fine lines of a classic 737. Engine to wing attachment, no such pylons. Typical german world war 2 technology. Long tube of noisy yet powerful Pratt & Whitney.
TK 0 Report post Posted October 5, 2005 A QUIZ........... Can anyone tell me where do Transmile get their Logo.....???? I know... will tell you one day. Do some research...
Rozhan 0 Report post Posted October 6, 2005 (edited) Just wondering. Do the engines on the B727s have bucket-style reverser like the B732s? I believe they were similar engines on both types, but never got to see the reversers in action on the B727s. I used to see SQ's B727s at Subang in the 1980s. Fancy the back staircase below the fuselage. Edited October 6, 2005 by Rozhan
S V Choong 4 Report post Posted October 6, 2005 Hi TK bro, Thanks for the photos!! Can anyone tell us the fleet list of Transmile? How many MD-11s, 727 and 737s do they have? Also, I heard that transmile used to carry passengers and cargo on their 737QC (Quick Change) flights, do they still do that?
Peter Smith 1 Report post Posted October 6, 2005 FYI...By now 9M-TGB will have become VH-DHF operating for Asian Express Airlines (DHL, nothing to do with AK). She joins 722 VH-DHE operating nightly freight out of AKL across the pond. VH-DHF replaces leased 9M-TGK which has sicne returned to KCH. 9M-TGA 727-2F2(A)F c/n22993 l/n1808 9M-TGE 727-247(A)F c/n21697 l/n1471 9M-TGF 727-247(A)F c/n21698 l/n1474 9M-TGG 727-247(A)F c/n21699 l/n1485 9M-TGH 727-247(A)F c/n21701 l/n1493 9M-TGJ 727-247(A)F c/n21700 l/n1489 9M-TGK 727-247(A)F c/n21392 l/n1305 9M-PML 737-275C(A) c/n21116 l/n427 9M-PMM 737-205C c/20458 l/n278 9M-PMW 737-209(A) c/n24197 l/n1581 9M-TGP MD-11F c/n48446 l/n463 9M-TGQ MD-11F c/n48486 l/n509 9M-TGR MD-11F c/n48485 l/n502

TK 0 Report post Posted October 6, 2005 adding up... Rozhan,...base on my knowledge, 737-200 is a bucket type thrust reverser. 727 slightly different.. Interesting to note of how the 737-200 engines attached to the wing... check out the landing light on the flap fairing.
