flee 5 Report post Posted April 26, 2011 I was wondering why is FZA on OP today. Saw her when i was in LGK, and then just now parked at the remote A-wing parking bay after her flight. Since when FY flies to LGK from KUL? Could be doing some crew training - LGK is a quiet airport with a long and, therefore, safe runway...

Sri Ramani K. 0 Report post Posted April 28, 2011 A short half an hour in AT today. Had to rush like mad to get there and hoping for the a/c to take off early. Pardon the quality of these shots as I dont have a 2.8 lense and most of the shots were shot at ISO 500-640. 9M-FZA seen idling with the APU access doors open and MH maintenance staff doing some work. APU u/s? Common problem. D-ABTB JA605J. Dedicated to the Japanese spotters in MW & Capt Masahiko. Main reason I was there was to send off the Premier of China, Wen Jiabao. (like as if I am a VIP to send him off ) "Barisan Kehormat" (guard of honour) queuing up. "4 engines good start. Cleared to disconnect and report on the left". Follow-me truck was already on standby waiting to guide the a/c for RWY32R take off. Construction work in the background already in progress. Unfortunately I don't know which part of the new LCC Terminal are they building first. Nose shot for the lovers and the nose taikos. And finally, B-2472 leaves KUL as CA0006 carrying the Premier enroute for CGK. TQ for visiting Malaysia and we hope you had a great time here. See you again soon, sir! The end. Raj 0 Report post Posted June 16, 2011 United Airways is ex-GMG, or was GMG renamed ? Do they operate also on weekends ? Would be dying to see this bird during the MW-Anniversary !!! Pieter, United Airways has nothing to do with GMG. Its an airline on its own. All three Bangladeshi, Biman, GMG and United operate in WEE hours of the morning. Only time to catch them is when they are delayed.
Nguyen Vu Loc 0 Report post Posted June 16, 2011 Zamir: Quote:"Capture with Nikon Coolpix P7000.It hard to get good photo through the glass + got light reflection.Capture on 1/6/2011" Try to position your camera lens as close to the glass as possible. This will get rid of disturbing reflection and also improve the auto-focus. Same method is applied to DSLRs which perform better with a rubber hood. Cheers Sri Ramani: Nice pic of the B744 Kuala Lumpur being pushed back S M Tang: I like your photos of 330MH and United Airways' MD-82(?)
Sri Ramani K. 0 Report post Posted July 23, 2011 23/07 - Although some quarters claim that people here should wear YELLOW on Saturdays, but somehow or rather today was a BLUE day in KLIA. Starting off, Chaity & Yong decided to wear BLUE today, so somehow or rather, they have a tendency to attract traffic of the same colour! No doubt, the BLUE I was referring to was this, A6-EYE. Dedicated to Keith who couldn't get a proper shot of it a few days ago. Very often this BLUE does not taxi in front of Anjung Tinjau and exits rwy via taxiway Hotel, but I guess you know why it did today. PH-BQB coming in from Uncle Pieter-land. Besides that, traffic was almost normal for me except for this bird which just arrived at the same time as me. XY-AGC which usually docks in the LCC Terminal didn't do the same today. Took off about an hour later from bay B12. Chaity & Ong might have other shots which I didn't catch so passing the baton to the rest. Cheers!
