KC Sim 2 Report post Posted November 14, 2006 The A380 was indeed greeted by brilliant sunshine on its arrival . . . it must have been the collective prayers from the dozen or more enthusiasts around the airport. After landing on runway 02L, it taxied serenely to its designated gate F31, the first gate to be A380 Ready at Changi Airport. The distinctive tail of the A380 vie for prominence against Changi Airport's own landmark. Gate F31 proudly proclaims its A380 Readiness . . . During a lull in the various docking tests being conducted, I had a chance to study the A380's nose . . . seems nice from some angles. A starboard side study of msn002 F-WXXL . . . indeed, this extra extra large airplane makes everything else look small. In the afternoon, children from Learning Vision@Changi Airport visited the Airbus A380s. They absolutely love the A380s and they show it in their own wonderful ways. The boy on the extreme right is Singapore's future high-jumping Olympic medallist!! See how high he jumps. KC Sim
