Recommended Posts

Well, we arrived hotel in WSSS @ 12:20. After barely 5 hours sleep, we go to Coastal Road (the db fence is coming up fairly fast :( ).

And as promised the A380 showed on Inner Marker @ 9:58am, landed on 02L and then taxied by T1 and to its gate. Here are few shots... as promised

Just joking~

Thanks for sharing the pics with us, Raj. Looks like the Airbus is on schedule - which means she'll be dropping by SYD on 28 Nov. Fingers crossed.

Thanks guys for the comments, and I must mention KWEK was indeed a great help in setting us up for the shoot.

Now tomorrow we try again for the departure shots.

Pieter, your log is impressive ( and depressive knowing what else we missed). We were kicked out for a while and saw some of the movements just pass by. I'll try to post more tomorrow.

The A380 was indeed greeted by brilliant sunshine on its arrival . . . it must have been the collective prayers from the dozen or more enthusiasts around the airport.

After landing on runway 02L, it taxied serenely to its designated gate F31, the first gate to be A380 Ready at Changi Airport.

IPB Image

IPB Image

The distinctive tail of the A380 vie for prominence against Changi Airport's own landmark.

IPB Image

Gate F31 proudly proclaims its A380 Readiness . . .

IPB Image

During a lull in the various docking tests being conducted, I had a chance to study the A380's nose . . . seems nice from some angles.

IPB Image

A starboard side study of msn002 F-WXXL . . . indeed, this extra extra large airplane makes everything else look small.

IPB Image

In the afternoon, children from Learning Vision@Changi Airport visited the Airbus A380s. They absolutely love the A380s and they show it in their own wonderful ways. The boy on the extreme right is Singapore's future high-jumping Olympic medallist!! See how high he jumps.
