Security will be really stepped-up and it's difficult to get close to the Aie Force One, as experienced a few years back when Clinton visited AMS...

Also experienced by a British spotter recently at SIN; see his message here:

"Singapore is getting more police on the piers for some reason, we actualy got asked to stop what we where doing looking through bins and followed for a while in T2 on the 01/11/06 we took the train back to T1 to lose our tail. the best thing i have found is just find a base and sit and watch the movements saves any hassle."

and....

"I suspect that the (increased) security / police patrols at SIN is in connection with a forthcoming visit from Bush to the country towards the end of this week / early next week."

They include Singapore and Seoul during the first trip (14th and 15th November), then Hong Kong and Narita on 18th and 19th November. The third trip brings the aircraft to Guangzhou (22nd November), and Beijing and Shanghai (23rd November).

At A380Ready gates at Changi Airport, the A380 is connected to the terminal by three aerobridges. Two of these are attached to the main deck while the third aerobridge is connected to its upper deck (this one does not slope at all and is particularly elderly-friendly). This picture gives you an idea of how these aerobridges are attached to the A380 - the one on the right connects to the upper deck.

Another shot of the A380's distinctive nose.

At the other extremity, the tail is huge. The stabilizer is said to be equivalent to the wing of the A320!

IPB Image

And yet another shot of the children from Learning Vision. Here they are elated to receive a lovely picture of four A380s in flight.

Great shots, guys: hopefully, we'll all be as happy as those jumpings children after our 1st A380 flight ;)

KC,

Unfortunately, was unable to make it to DUS last weekend, so no A380 pictures from me to share :sorry:

I wonder what the operational constraints are for operating the catering truck that rises to the upper deck!!! One strong gust of wind... oooohhh ouch! I know they got stabilizing feet that extend on the ground, but still, there must be some weather restrictions, right?

This is the picture I am eferring to by the way :)

Excellent coverage you guys!! really making me envious! :)

These shots reveal the formidable size of the A380. Look at the aerobridges; they scared me off! The children? I think they are not only elated, they are extremely elated! :yahoo: :yahoo:

Thanks for sharing rare photos, Sim!

Just got the news from Airbus that the F-WXXL has back to SIN from Seoul at 11:03LT.
