Kevin, I am not sure if it is counted as overexposed.

Cause it was towarding the sun during the evening time.

hmm... judging by the over bright words, it is slightly overexposed. Maybe you can step down the EV when u shot to avoid this. I am not expert thou :D

The cable car at the background is the one you mentioned travel to see the big buddha right?

Yes, as you have mentioned, for this photo, I haven't stepped the EV down due to wrongly judged.

You are correct, in the photo you can easily find out 5 cable car cabs.

A shot spending the boring time.

The NW Cargo which I have missed for many times.

IPB Image

What a dramatic feeling!!

Hi Sneeze,

I never realized there is a royal Dutch Crown on the side of NW cargo airplane. That says very well on their cooperation.

I must admit that I like this CX744 very very much. The background hill is fantastic.

When I was looking at these two photos, I could help but comparing the engine size. The ones on the B773ER are so BIG

I scrolled up and down the photo very quickly, and it made me very dizzy

I thought the big Buddha is still a distance away from the airport. So close ah?

Is NW and KL an alliance in Cargo area?

Yes, really big engine that B777 has. Is the GE's biggest one?

It is a Gulfstream G200 as mentioned in JP.net

Sim, sorry about the photo. :sorry: :sorry:

Yes, it is in a distance way to go, as the cable car system is asian's biggest.

What you can see in the photo is just, I think, 1/4 of the whole system.

Damn nice picture with the dark background! :drinks:

Thanks Emperor. :drinks:

Yesterday was the 8th anniversary of the HKIA, so I was there to have some shots and see if the airport authority will decorate for the anniversary. Sadly that there were not even a tiny sticker for the birthday of the airport.

And now I would like to share some of my shots taken on the day.

For Raj, S.V. Choong

Is NW and KL an alliance in Cargo area?

I think they have been in a very close alliance for a long time. I think KL even has a stake in NW. I think Pieter would know this better.

Ya, I heard the GE engine on B773ER (I think is the GE90-115 or something) is the largest engine of all, even bigger than the ones used on A380??

Hi Sneeze,

I was actually complimenting on your special effects. Nice work done with the photo.

When I travel to Hong Kong next time, I would find some time to visit the big Buddha. I have been wanting to visit the Buddha for a while, but never managed to materialize it.

If you are lucky enough (sky clear enough), you may able to see the Big Buddha when you are going to land on RWY07 or taking off from RWY25.

Oh yes, I have seen it once while on final approach to HKG. However, that was probably the only time I landed from that direction. All my other landings took me above HKG and landing from the New Territory side.
