  1. The a330 would be an unknown quantity. Because even Batik dont have their own a330. And dont know if it'll be Batik tail or Lion's head tail. Hopefully the seat pitch is as good as in their 738s. Cant wait.
  2. Now Malindo has a lot of livery variations. The LCF there with Malindo title positioned lower on the fuselage
  3. Its up to each interpretations of the situation. For me, in medical field, if you see someone, a patient alone on a wheelchair struggling to come to the consultation table/room, I would help. But it's not described in my joblist/ my colleagues joblist to help them push the wheelchair. Nor would I think twice even though myself have a prolapsed intervertebral disc which can be aggravated. On the other hand, I myself always make sure that my cabin luggage is no more than 7kg so I would not struggle to put it up. But that's me, a young man, what if a very frail lady came about? Would all the cabin crew just look? Again up to personal preferences.
  4. These a330s were the ones meant to replace the cancelled 787s right? If i'm not mistaken they did planned for OD to have some 787s originally. For the branding part i think it's due to the fact that Lion Air Groups wanted to limit their own brands, and convert OD into FSC like Batik Air, from what it is now which is a hybrid carrier. They have Lion Air, Batik Air, Wings Air, so they might as well streamlined it to 1 brand so that bookings will be easier. Wonder what will happen to Atr ops, will they convert into Batik Air brands too? Imagine the atrs with the Batik tails..
  5. Congrats Boeing... and I noticed JL really had put on some weight since filming of A380 documentaries I've been watching on my laptop.
  6. Reminds me of our own Maswings ATR72-500 WCs...Very hard to manouver in..Especially if you're taking care of your kids "business"...
  7. This morning Malaysia airlines 737-800 did a charter flight to China with flight no MH8xxx
  8. So sorry but this is beyond me now.. Why bother with such name change. All other airlines will call it KLIA2. AK pax will get confused especially to those who rarely travels. It's their loss. Why on earth put on a losing battle, in fact there was no battle at all.
  9. Lucky they dont have hundreds of planes yet to repaint. On top of that, will they change the websites name or they'll just redirect malindo air to batikair.com But the rebranding cost money, and I believe they have a lot of that. With partnership with Turkish Airline, can't wait for them to expand even more.
  10. I think what they planned to do.. Rename the terminal to lcct2, then the whole world bought into the new name. Then AK will demand "now you call it lcct, take away the aerobridges, lower the fees.", now that the whole world is calling it LCCT2.
  11. They should look at themselves. Have you seen the arrival time for both CGK and DPS flights.. Arriving late at CGK and departing very early in the morning. I rather take MH to transit at KL, arrive early afternoon and get along with my business. dont blame the so called T1 charges. I dont see their KUL - BKI affected too much. Instead they sent much bigger aircraft twice per day. If the charges are affecting them then all flights should be affected
  12. The umrah package gives options to land in Jeddah or Madinah first. I myself went there and landed in Madinah first then left through Jeddah. From the picture looks like the flight was delayed as Standard arrival time of the charter MHa380 is around 130-230pm local time, departing KUL at 930-1030 am.
  13. Landed at KUL yesterday and the 2 Maswings at7600 still sitting idle in front of the mas hangar.. One of Mas engineering staff said they're being sold off but to who we dont know..
  14. How I miss the MH routes with transits... KUL--KCH-MYY-LBU-BKI on MH2625.. MH 060 KUL-KCH-BKI and I think at one time MH offers BKI-KUL on 4hour F50 flight.
  15. Even the 738s you can see patches of uncleaned dust all over the aircond nozzles. I myself wiped them clean so i wont inhale the dusts. Flew a380 on J during the Umrah charters, once you expand the seat to full flat mode, you can see peanuts and food remnants in the seats... Yuck! One thing never change, the golden touch of cabin crew and pilots....
  16. Even with the IFEs, the screen responsiveness were disappointing. Compare to OD IFE, you can even BYO headsets and enjoy the IFEs with better audios.
  17. Bayu Air name was one of the short lived LCC of Indonesia I believe. They had a few 732s flying for them up till mid 2000s.
  18. Guess nobody wants them. Was onboard MNA in J, 3 of the front row J seats have reclining problems. When you fully reclined them, you can see bits and pieces of nuts served from the previous flights. No more tail cam view as some pax did complain of some kind pf phobia/uneasiness.
  19. Oh no sir. Didnt mean it that way.
  20. Think RB a342 pf the Brunei Royal Family is doing touch and go rounds at TWU right now. It's visible on the fr24
  21. I think it'll be ticketing desk ala KLIA. Which add on the the ever congested level 3 at KKIA since AK moved in.
  22. So the move is purely to make positive impact on D7? Because i thought it'll be simpler to offer direct Route to JED from CGK. Bare in mind LI and GA have 2-3 flights daily to MED and JED for the umrah market. Doubt Indonesians would want to take extra flight to KUL just to go to JED.
  23. The all white 9M XXA is here doing the BKI KUL run.
  24. Just curious. If an aircraft is stored like that, do the previous owner eg MAB stripped them off their seats, galleys and inflight entertainment systems? Or leave it as it is as it's not reusable anymore? Thx.
