  1. I remembered when KLIA first opened, it boast the biggest and most hi-tech "cleaning" processing facility in the world << ---- I think the correct term is cleaning
  2. 11K & 11P callsign by Police helicopter, no?
  3. Nobody here ah .. cares to fume at the tree for being there ?
  4. A father/mother-in-law can be made an adviser too, (in a company) mind you
  5. I'm pretty sure I can deselect the insurance option which is the Firefly Travel Protection , but the included one is RM5 insurance surcharge, which as flee pointed out "no choice" ..
  6. Mokhzani, Don't have to wonder download yourself here!. No subtitles whatsoever though !
  7. Give it a try..different people may not like the taste but me taste okayyyy Just happened to see that you're at NSW, sorry but the market mentioned was Malaysia
  8. Ginger drink should work (tips from sea-fishing anglers). There is one soy-based ginger product available in the market but actual name slips my mind. Perfect for me though
  9. Care to share where you'd fly from?
  10. You too ? Joke only haaa.. I'll just wait for the pictures, knowing most pro's will be there ..
  11. Aiyohh... so kiss up kiss up one What is wrong with the name KLIA by the way? Did the tourist pronounce Klee-ya instead of K-L-I-A for the need to change ? And I agree with Mokhzani
  12. ... and the baggages put up for sale reaching certain time, yes? I remember reading about it but could not recall the details though
  13. Just a thinking though on why the SQ .. if one resides at area such as Desaru (or Pengerang, in this case) , maybe easier (and faster) to travel to/from Changi. Changi just like 45minutes away using ferry/luxurious boat etc, no? A long, more an hour away to travel from JHB to Desaru, that a fact. Note: Disregard any protocol/privileges. * Now where should I go to hide? hmm ... *
  14. Congrats Fitri .. btw can tag along as an assistant? hehe jokingĀ² only
  15. I used to listen ATC conversation from the van's radio (the analog ones ) but within the airport vicinity, long before the new KB Airport comes into action. But sadly, only one side i.e. the voice from the pilot is heard. Tune the radio slowly, normally that time lingers around 97 FM and voila .. you get to listen to something you don't understand mostly
  16. "That he/she could obtain the nationality of any country of the plane route".. That was told by my professor many years ago of which one of the many (..if any) privileges of any child born onboard. I maybe wrong though But for sure, airlines policy won't allow for advanced pregnancy (more than 34 months if not mistaken) to be onboard, no?

    Odd shots

Ahh .. remind me of good-old part time job days in Subang as cargo handlers back in 1996 .. it was an experience savoured for a very long time despite so the most sighed aircraft that time was martinair cargo simply for being cargo translates to lots of work to do
  18. Was the process above as what ATC terms as piggy-back? Mr. Kandar and En. Jalil (Tower controller) said piggy-back one of the nerve-racking situation as a ATC (info during the KLIA Tower visit) By the way Ryan, if you don't mind me asking here.. why did u quit ATC? Job too demanding?
  19. MAS to terminate routes that cause losses By NG CHENG YEE in Dewan Rakyat KUALA LUMPUR: In stages the Malaysia Airlines (MAS) will have to terminate its operations to route destinations that cause losses to the company, said Transport Minister Datuk Ong Tee Keat. He said the route destinations were Kuala Lumpur to Manchester, Vienna, Zurich, Fukuoka, Nagoya, Ahmedabad, Kolkata, Pontianak, Xian, Chengdu and Kaherah, Kuching to Perth and Sydney, Langkawi to London, and Penang to London. However, he could not give the value of losses suffered by MAS as it was the rule by Bursa Malaysia that prohibited it to release such information to the public. Ong was replying a question by Fong Po Kuan (DAP-Batu Gajah) on the route destinations and whether there was any plan to allow AirAsia to take over these destinations. "It will have to be studied and discussed by various parties, including the two airlines involved," he said. On the flight delays raised by Datuk Mohamed Aziz (BN-Sri Gading), Ong said it would be welcomed by the public if airline companies were willing to compensate customers for such problems. "AirAsia has started such a scheme but MAS is yet to implement the same system," he said, adding that flight delays were due to technical problems or management by airline companies. I thought those destinations axed already and MAS did compensate passengers when delays occured, not in terms of money but food vouchers, or am I missing something here?
  20. I remembered Air Crash Investigation episode on China Airlines Flight 006 One point of the investigation was the Captain crossing multiple time zones that eventually led to Captain worn-out (presumably within short time span ?) . That could be one case of unrealistic sector, no? Later the investigators pointed out more errors by the aircrews. Read here for details.
  21. What happened to this Diploma right now? Any news to share? As I understand it, the student intakes (selection and administration) by Jabatan Penerbangan Awam, no ?
  22. OT A few pictures of A380 doing crew training at WMKJ. Sorry for the picture quality (and settings ! ). Just six of them as I arrived quite late and coupled with the reason above Practise go around this time Effort to align with the runway. See the approaching weather Love the look but not the picture quality Again the effort Finally Landing time Shortly after, it flew back Singapore despite having 30 minutes more on training time. (yes, Singapore teletext is that accurate ) Not worth the time bracing the weather, I guess Thanks for viewing .
