Yeah, I concur that the A350-900 is indeed quiet, from my recent experience in an SQ A350-900.

Tokyo is not the longest, it is only about 6-7 hours from KUL. MEL, BNE and SYD is longer than that at 7-8 hours depending on the weather and pattern.

Tokyo, Shanghai, Bangkok, Osaka, Taipei etc... are much larger compared to HKG and KUL... you probably don't get nagging passengers as much... why oh why...!? 1. CX/KA suck in terms of service... 2. People from HKG, KUL and SIN love to complaint and nag... 3. All of the above.

Underground shopping on the same level of the concourse of the Metro in Hong Kong is rare, perhaps only restricted to a handful. Most shopping are located above the Concourse level though and connected to the exits of the metro. Anyways, Mr. Kee is right, underground option will have a longer construction period. Disruption will be the same but shorter in period. Building an overhead bridge will mean one of the gates will be taken out for the bridge. I think HK government or the Airport Authority has this cheapness mindset. Get the job done, doesn't matter how it looks as long as it is functional, I have dealt with them before. One reason why most HK buildings are uglier than many buildings in the mainland.
