KC Sim 2 Report post Posted April 28, 2008 First and foremost, Thanks Jon for your company and hospitality. This hastily-arranged trip was undertaken solely to chase 9M-MRD (Heliconia) and for that, we thank Joule for the information. Most appreciate that. Now I am happy with my Heliconia shot . . . we could not have asked for better light and location. Another hot subject for me is this A320 with the Malaysian and Singapore flags. Until now, I did not realise that the markings on the starboard and port sides differ! Not everybody's cup of tea . . . but still stunning to look at. Common plane for our Malaysian friends, but for me, a nice MAS B744 is as good a subject as any in great light. This one has the ManU Asia Tour sticker. Thanks to the farmer for providing the nice green hilly backdrop. The Flying Mirror came into town again . . . photographed its sistership the last time but the light is better this time. And while the sun was high, I kept myself entertained with some nosey shots - courtesy of AirAsia. KC Sim
Ignatius 4 Report post Posted April 28, 2008 Nice noses KC... I didnt know the MU sticker is still around on the B744 hehe. nice catch

Thanks to the farmer for providing the nice green hilly backdrop. A new ManU Asia Tour? Capt Nik H should be able to provide is with the answer regarding this. As for the farmer, is is MAB Agriculture division.

Hoe Jyh 0 Report post Posted April 29, 2008 Now my turn to post some pix from my maiden spotting trip to KLIA 9M-AFW Williams Team An unexpected surprise in the form of an EgyptAir A332. Failed a couple of times to capture EgyptAir in BKK and was very happy to finally get one in KL! 9M-MPM arriving with some hills in the background Love the evening light in those RR engines! Can't ask for a better aircraft than this very blue Heliconia too. Amazingly clean silver bullet, courtesy of JAL Cargo.
