Labour Day Spotting ... Nothing special, just the normal one ..

http://i244.photobucket.com/albums/gg15/az...an/CSC_9318.jpg

Hey, I was on it.

Date: 1 May 2008

Flight No: 7P 821

Carrier: Batavia Air

Route: Pontianak (PNK) - Kuching (KCH)

Distance: 130 miles

Aircraft: Boeing 737-200 (PK-YTJ)

Hey, I was on MRD to KCH once too. Long time ago, during the heyday of KCH as the destination of MH 5/6 (the Kuching-Frankfurt flight).

Date: 25 November 2005

Flight No: MH 5

Carrier: Malaysia Airlines

Route: Kuala Lumpur (KUL) - Kuching (KCH)

Distance: 603 miles

Aircraft: Boeing 777-200ER (9M-MRD - Heliconia)

That was a memorable flight because back then, I don't have a clue that MH has a special painted aircraft that gorgeous. I still remember, I was sitting next to a Korean granny who was not impressed at all with the inflight catering. I also received a surprise (more of a shocking) 'love note' from one of the steward on that flight. It was beautifully handwritten by him on a MH's B772 postcard. Truly a memorable flight.

My guess is whoever designed the mould for the AK A320 inflight sales model must have only ever viewed the A320 from that angle ! :)

Not your bad at all, it's the mould !

It's the nose Iggy. I get reminded of Squigworth (SpongeBob Squarepants) and the elephant man each time I come across AK's A320 rendering !

The new aerobridge at gate 4 looks different - the end bit that sort of wraps itself round curvature of aircraft's fuselage, it's huge ! Any idea why ? :pardon:
