Gavin Andrew David 6 Report post Posted October 29, 2006 Met up with JKSC and TK at Subang today after necessary commitments in the morning and this is what we ended up with Hornet came in on approach , but did a go around thundering away doing serious damage to the ears . Romeo India coming in for landing after doing a go around as well . Unfortunately I was approx 3 mins late Floating awhile before touchdown Look out for different angles from JKSC and TK as the three of us were in different locations . Cheers . TK 0 Report post Posted October 29, 2006 I have done a 777 test flight once.. But i have not seen such an approach from the outside <_> all hang loose.. at one stage of a test flight, the "manual" landing gear extension required for test. the gear will go down and lock, AND landing gear doors remain open all the way!! and also at the same time during such approach, the flaps are not in Landing Configuration to check the GPWS warnings... ...cockpit will be noisy a bit, until such time the Pilot disable/inhibit the warning... Go-Around will be executed and recycle the gear to "normal" and gear up required... Then come back for approach for normal landing. I think 9M-MRI passed her TEST by the way....the Go Around was very powerful from a light 777...MAX THRUST Look at that CLIMB attitude salute to the "test pilots"..
