'Shooting' in bad weather gives you a different kind of effect, so it's all good. are u mean me? <_ is that any misunderstanding> wow... u got the 'belly light??'... but aren't the QF one is A330? <_ src="%7B___base_url___%7D/uploads/emoticons/default_biggrin.png" alt=":D"> Yea, haven't seen you post for a while, or maybe I just wasn't in the right place (forum). Tony 1 Report post Posted October 8, 2006 I remember Tamizi asking for shots of this special baby Boeing. But where is he??? Shall see if he turns up here. Yananyi Dreaming, QF 738 'Yananyi' means going or travelling. Light UA rotated early on 34L to Melbourne. Then a Qantas 763 rolled pass. Looked up at the cockpit of Parramatta... *waves back + salute* Continued 'shooting'...
Sneeze Lam 0 Report post Posted October 8, 2006 Sneeze, what A320/A380 CityFlyer? Elaborate please? Our Airbus to/ from airport is named as CITYFLYER! It operates by Single Decker(A320) and Double Decker(A380) Here are couple of my YSSY memories.... Departing YSSY-KLAX on QF107 Seat 65K ........ Luck played a major part for Rwy in use ( 34L) and then we made that famous lazy Right turn passing North of the Harbour Bridge I was never tired getting the Kiwi birds in and out of YSSY.... ......... Both are excellent shots...............Love them very much, really want to have such a great light with clear sky in my flights. Thanks for waiting, here we go again... Sneeze Air heading down to 34L for morning departure. Love all CX shots, especially the one before it went rotation, the panning is excellent! The Jet* is fantastics!!! Can't imagine A320 can be looking so "strong". Then a Qantas 763 rolled pass. Looked up at the cockpit of Parramatta... *waves back + salute* Continued 'shooting'... This head + the head of the SQ and NZ A320 are marvous too. Oh....god........so many nice place to spot!!!! Can to give me a little chance to win the lottory? Norman 1 Report post Posted October 9, 2006 Tony... vey nice coverage of SYD's actions... Very beautiful Yananyi Dreamin 738... Thanks for sharing.. Tony, hope u will not mind if i help u answer he... btw, he use Pana FZ5... Yes... FZ5's crop factor is 6x tho'... so 72mm=432mm in 35mm format.. So for Iggy's D80... at least a 70-300VR needed to do the shot of SQ there...

Anyway guys, the fence is a couple of metres away (probably 15m? 30m?), so it's pretty close-to-action.

Tony 1 Report post Posted October 9, 2006 We have plenty of spotters here in Sydney. They do go out to the airport regularly for spotting sessions (the Sydney Airport Forums guys) and pilots do notice of their existence, so they will often wave at us as we "click" away. I was alone at the fence that day - my friends were busy "shooting" the horsies on the beach. The FO probably thought I was bored and waved. Will continue to upload pics when I'm done with my test tomorrow.
