Alif A. F. 0 Report post Posted November 3, 2015 There's an osprey in town. Might be related to this: "Minister Hishammuddin will receive an official visit by Chang Wanquan, China's minister of national defense, in conjunction with the regional security meeting. After that, the minister is expected to fly on an Osprey aircraft with Ashton Carter, the U.S. defense secretary, from Kota Kinabalu to a U.S. aircraft carrier." jahur 0 Report post Posted November 5, 2015 Military traffic was bit up today as we are in a joint exercise with the United States so i took the opportunity to spot The special trafficfor today is the arrival of VIPs from Subang. Never thought i would see this Doomsday with my own eyes what more in KK haha.. Plane brought along the US Secretary of Defence Ashton Carter to oversee the exercise at Seppanggar Bay. The doomsday was followed by this private 737 carrying Defence Minister Hishamuddin. The Plane i believe was ex 9M-FJA. Brought on by this massive sized Boeing C-17 GlobeMaster III The military exercise consists of mostly Greyhounds and Ospreys.

Alif A. F. 0 Report post Posted November 6, 2015 Thanks for the photos jahur! It wasn't an exercise, but a visit by the defence sec. along with Hishamuddin to a US aircraft carrier which anchored offshore Sabah. The Ospreys are a noisy piece of flying machines, saw and heard these around 6pm yesterday.
BC Tam 2 Report post Posted November 6, 2015 (edited) Corrections: It's actually a Boeing E-4B Advanced Airborne Command Post. Not Boeing VC-25 designated for AF1 Not to be outdone, our local Daily Express downgraded it to a "Boeing C32" splashed on front page It wasn't an exercise, but a visit by the defence sec. along with Hishamuddin to a US aircraft carrier which anchored offshore Sabah. An exercise, a visit ..... call it any which way In reality, a show of Uncle Sam's military might to the island building Chinese off Sabah's west Edited November 6, 2015 by BC Tam
