Alif A. F. 0 Report post Posted August 28, 2014 Airline Hong Kong Express criticised after scrapping Kota Kinabalu flights The airline started the thrice-weekly flights last October, but said "weak market demand" and a "challenging" business environment since April had led it to suspend the route to the capital of Sabah state. It said passengers were told of the available options by email and SMS. "The decision to withdraw from Kota Kinabalu was not taken lightly and followed an in-depth and ongoing review of the market situation," the airline's spokeswoman said. The city, gateway to Mount Kinabalu and several national parks, is also served by direct flights from Hong Kong by AirAsia, Dragonair and Malaysia Airlines. The line was agreed between Bulgaria and Malaysia back in 1970. The airline has six months to begin operations, the press office of the Council of Ministers informed. The appointment of the Bulgarian air carrier to connect the aviation markets of Bulgaria and Malaysia will contribute to increasing passenger traffic to and from these countries, will create conditions to increase revenue from the carriage of passengers and goods and will enhance trade and economic relations between Bulgaria and Malaysia, including Southeast Asia and the Pacific, said the study.BH Air was founded in 2001 and began operations in January 2002 with flights from Sofia for needs of the UK tour operator "Balkan Holidays" - London. In 2007 after the work with Virgin Group and gaining experience, BH Air participated in the creation of a new airline in Sri Lanka - Mihin Lanka. In July, 2014 the airline add the first Airbus A330 (LZ-AWA). ANA to return to KLIA on 18 April 2015 I wonder if they will send their B787s for this run...
