cukuplah sekali? is it because of other pax or the 757 conditions? :)

hope RA will deploy their new A320 to KUL soon ;)

Not because it was bad la, Just that MH is better :) - Since that trip (which was the first time I went to Nepal) I've ridden MH several more times to and from KTM ( side note: including once a few months ago with a female FO - according to the crew she came from FY).

MH still better lah :)

Overall service will be reduced from 18 to 14 weekly as a result.

TG417 BKK1640 – 1950KUL 787 D

So 2 flights a day operated by 787?

No ler cikgu the 416 (KUL-BKK) is the return of 415 (BKK-KUL), same with 417 (BKK-KUL) /418 (KUL-BKK) - it's only one 787 a day.

Shame about the 419/420 though. Last i heard the crews actually didn't like it because it was minimum rest in KUL, and had to do a very short overnight without getting the chance to jalan jalan in KL town.

Same as TG 401/402 on SIN turn - crew stays at the CP SIN. I believe MH has 2 set of crews overnighting in BKK - MH 776 crew does not turnaround for MH 797.

Is TG pretty much relying on transfer traffic for its KUL-BKK flights? It's one of the most expensive carriers to fly between the two cities and it only has 2 flights a day now (compared to 7 for MH).

This actually very bad news, as it means will no longer be able to access the TG afternoon long hauls including FRA and LAX :-(

They have been very aggressive with their pricing since March this year. A return ticket between KUL/BKK can go as low as RM480 nett.

TG922/923 had a 37% load the last few months according to birdy. Easy to see why it's gone.

And probably why LH revert its LH 772/773 operations back to double red-eyes.

Yeah will certainly miss it, thanks to this load factor it was a goldmine of award availability

That I will agree with - I once took a 922 outbound to FRA on a 346 with a load of 2/11/100 ish. (in the middle of 2013)

Nothing unremarkable about the load except the fact that 8 of the 11 were I class redemptions (including my party of 4), and both F pax were O class redemptions also. The other 3 in business were revenue, but not exactly high yield J or C.

Wow, this is something !

A Taiwanese carrier doing a Japan-Malaysia charter

when a Chinese carrier is not allowed to do a Malaysia-China charter

(unless rules/regulations have been changed since I last checked)

:)

CI did this a few times for a Japan travel agency too last year.

:)

I think MU and CZ had done this many times last year during CNY.
