Time for ak to restart hkg

Hong Kong Express just commenced flights into HKG. Lets see how well they do, since previously, LCC traffic on PEN-HKG is not strong.

I guess those who are travelling PEN-HKG are quite well-off and can afford to pay extra for full service carrier. They will only choose LCC should the FSC options runs out. Demographics do play role on the survivability of route.

Yes, most traffic to HKG is higher yield traffic - it is the students, foreign workers and backpackers who make LCCs happy...

CZ into BKI - is that a 'long term' scheduled itinerary ?

For there has been many on/off proposed start ups in past (that did not jadi)

As well as many chartered flights over the busy school holiday periods - nothing that lasted too long though

From experience, CZ product is nothing to shout about

Neither is SZX a new destination to/from BKI

What remains I suppose is what bracket they intend to price themselves at :)

You'll never know. Just look at the Korean carriers in BKI. Korea 4 Malaysia 0!

Why would Asiana fly to Johor? Does it receive a lot of Korean tourists?

I saw some North Asian guests while having my breakfast buffet at one of the hotels in JB, probably Koreans. Perhaps they want to do JB (Legoland, Desaru and etc.) and Singapore trip all in one go, and I reckon staying in JB is a lot cheaper than across the Causeway.

Does Tiger Mandala no longer flying KUL-CGK-KUL anymore?

I have 2 bookings with Tiger Mandala

1. KUL - CGK,

2. SUB - KUL.

Both flights are cancelled, and rerouted through SIN on a different date.

So I asked for full refund

:)
