  1. I think they're turning B1 into the temp. lounge. It's a much needed refurb, but given MH's track record it's probably just a fresh coat of paint and some new furniture.
  2. If peanuts and ikan bilis were missing that hardly counts as Nasi Lemak, IMO
  3. Having densely populated residential areas nearby would potentially attract nighttime curfews ala SYD, LHR, NRT etc - which ultimately hamper the airport's growth. Do I want an airport that's less than an hour away from the city? Definitely - but not at the expense of redeye flights that have convenient arrival times at the destination. There's an SQ flight from LAX/NRT that arrives at 3am - the only way out of the airport is by taxi, with a midnight surcharge.
  4. I'll miss 14A and F. Don't even think I got that much legroom on SQ Suites
  5. I suppose this means we can forget about them ever having a hard-product that's actually competitive. Squeezing in more subpar J seats won't necessarily increase yields. The other kids in the neighborhood such as CX, SQ, TG and even GA are moving towards 1-2-1 lie flat seating for their long haul flights while MH is still stuck in the 6 or 7-abreast era. Then again, investing in new products means spending money (which they hardly have) so I won't be holding my breath.
  6. IIRC they do sell KLIA express tickets through the temptations inflight sales. You can use the voucher to pay for it but you'll lose some value if you only buy one ticket as it costs RM35.
  7. I can't for the life of me understand why they gave only a few days' notice. It just ain't fair to those who've already planned and packed what to bring. Unless, of course, they're only applying this for tickets issued on or after 28 May.
  8. The fare itself is indeed RM9 but LH's YQ is ridiculous. All in price is about RM460. If *A benefits don't matter, KLM is still the way to go at ~RM330 with similar timings.
  9. Precisely what I was thinking! Perhaps that's a subtle way of saying they don't even check for lost/stolen Malaysian passports for the peninsular arrivals.
  10. Once again, KLIA2 is considered a new airport...
  11. Why do people keep blaming the govt? Remember the LCCT immigration fiasco on its last day of operations? It's totally AirAsia's fault for the disproportionate number of immigration staff. It's not like the immigration department knew about the split terminal operations and didn't bring in more staff. No-one should be held responsible for mishaps as small as nearly causing hundreds of pax to miss their flights or letting false passport holders slip past our nation's main gateway
  12. Quick update on my partner mileage claim. Just received an email after 4 months, asking for exactly what I sent them in the first place: a copy of the BP. They're kind enough to remind me that the claim has to be submitted up to 6 months after the flight. It's 5 months after the flight, and I'm still stuck at square 1. Better credit the miles elsewhere...
  13. I sincerely hope they didn't leave out the second e in "Welcomes"
  14. Who's fault is it? Obviously the passengers! The airlines are also to blame for bringing in hoards of pax at a short amount of time. The KLIA management should not be held responsible for something totally under their control. Mods, feel free to move this to a new topic.
  15. Hope they don't charge for wifi. I'd gladly trade the IFE for free wifi anytime.
  16. Is there a direct domestic-international transfer point, ala MTB?
  17. There are signs at the balai telling you not to claim responsibility for anything. In this case, I think the Viva driver's report will insist the 737 hit him instead
  18. If even the authenticity passports need to be checked by Air Asia, we're better off handing over the entire immigration task to them. Personally I don't think it's a bad idea at all
  19. At least SOMEONE will be screening for stolen passports at Malaysian airports.
  20. It's clearly not their fault. It's not like they anticipated the two terminals operating concurrently! You travellers are awfully ungrateful. It's your fault for wanting to travel in the first place.
  21. Trains are already packed in the early mornings. I'm worried it'll become another 7am KTM Komuter ride to endure. As it is, I've seen some people standing near the doors after failing to find a seat. Hopefully they'll make it every 10 mins during peak hours if it really gets that packed.
  22. Or happy to be on a plane that never left the ground?
  23. Really? I've always found KLIA to be relatively compact. The furthest gate from the Aerotrain can't be more than a few mins. The MTB itself isn't exactly huge either.
