I got excited when I saw "Asiana" and "Kuala Lumpur" in the same post...

Gonna take way more than RM2000 to pay for that...

If we're calling MH and LCC because of their meals and service on regional routes, we're forgetting that BA is worse. For the most part, you won't be fed on intra-Euro flights. In J you get the same Y seat on narrowbodies with the middle seat blocked. Their Y baggage allowance is stingier than MH's. They even offer hand luggage-only fares on intra-Euro flights, which is just a clever way of charging for bags. Am I pleased that MH is making all sorts of cutbacks? Definitely not. But if we're talking about the reason behind BA not wanting to codeshare with MH because of the latter acting like an LCC, note that BA codeshares with Airberlin. Now that airline is more like an LCC

If KL, AF, LH can make KUL work, I'm sure BA can - eventually. Agree that they should add CGK as a tag-on. KL has been happily doing so for years and LH has hopped on the bandwagon. As for QF.... Their international network is unprofitable for the most part and I highly doubt they're in the mood to expand. If they can't even make PEK work I won't be holding my breath for KUL.

Is this an additional order as the tittle suggests, or a confirmation of the November announcement?

A bit of a stretch to call it a "crash", no?

It shouldn't be too hard getting to/from other parts of the city of Tokyo and Shinjuku stations. Also, I think the N'Ex Suica card has some credit for other uses. Dunno if that's changed since they've reduced the price. Only downside is navigating the labyrinth of passages and stairs to interchange. Lifts aren't easy to find in Shinjuku! If my hotel is at a more prominent location I'd take one of those airport transfer buses.

Looks more like an evacuation than a disembarkation. Hope everyone's okay!

Not sure if they're willing to. They moved to T4 only a few years ago (2009 I think?) and invested in a new lounge. Unless, of course, they've recuperated the costs of it. If they do move, I'm pretty sure they'll use one of the partner lounges which is sad given how nice their current lounge is. -
Well knock me down with a feather. They credited my missing CX miles from over 6 months ago!

Airline Flies Man To Grenada Instead Of Granada

Not the first time I've heard foreigners mixing up Kota Bahru with Kota Kinabalu. Can't blame them as both start with "Kota" and end with a "u". However, I know of way more people who get Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai confused. -
MAS B772 Fleet Decommissioned on 27 January 2016

Slimmer seats don't necessarily mean more comfort. There was quite an uproar when LH decided to fit their short haul fleet with those Recaro slimline seats. -
I'd rather they stick to the A380/A330 colors

The 5* rating has always been meaningless. MH's Y hard product might be good but they're not any better than their competitors when it comes to IFE, catering (which is abysmal at best) and service (IMO it's only the premium classes which have the more enthusiastic FAs). The only saving grace is the really competitive pricing that's comparable to the LCCs after adding all the frills. -
I think they're turning B1 into the temp. lounge. It's a much needed refurb, but given MH's track record it's probably just a fresh coat of paint and some new furniture.

MAS Nasi Lemak Telanjang Criticized by Chef Wan & Chef Zam
Chris Tan replied to J. Suri's topic in General Aviation
If peanuts and ikan bilis were missing that hardly counts as Nasi Lemak, IMO -
Having densely populated residential areas nearby would potentially attract nighttime curfews ala SYD, LHR, NRT etc - which ultimately hamper the airport's growth. Do I want an airport that's less than an hour away from the city? Definitely - but not at the expense of redeye flights that have convenient arrival times at the destination. There's an SQ flight from LAX/NRT that arrives at 3am - the only way out of the airport is by taxi, with a midnight surcharge.
