wondering how's MGB now, 2nd MASwing colour F50, which supposed to fly back MYY. Miss the fun working on MGA and MGB.
-
It arrived at MYY around 1600 hours and then took off to BKI after that.
-
MGA and MGB have slight different in wordings such as the letter "A" and "W". MGB's letter "A" has no triangle like MGA and letter "W" is small caps. Last thursday, a group of MASwings cabin crew, mostly stewardess, came to szb to see MGA.
-
That's MGB, now has already painted in MASwings colours. MGG just finished C-check last month in szb. Now still in service in east m'sia.
-
Yes, tommorow MGA will be flying back to MYY at noon. what time I'm not sure. On monday, it will do test flight for DCA approval in MYY.
-
Mean while, I just post this pics up first.
-
Those pics taken with the aircraft were taken at outside hangar 1 in szb on the day of departure early last month. I was there helping pushing platform for them to stand on top near with the vertical fin.
-
No worries, you'll be able to see it soon.
-
MGA and MGB are already in MASwings colours. The next one would be MGD. MGB currently having C-check but will be ready before 1st of October. The colours are very nice. Blue, green and glossy white like firefly.

MGA and MGB has already fully painted with MASwings colours, so, no worries that you can see it next month. A very nice Blue, green and glossy white paints. Almost like firefly. As for the logo, at one angle, you'll think it's a swan and in different angle, you'll see it as hornbill's head.

The new Twin Otter 400 series will be manufactured by viking air, no more by de-havilland and it increased pax capacity by 1, means 20 pax instead of 19. It also uses PT6-34/35.
-
MGF will be also grounded in szb as MGI (firefly) will have priority first to do check.
-
It's MGF, from bki, supposed to fly to SZB for B check this morning but due to hyd pressure lost and ice build up on wing due to de icing boot system failed caused it to lose speed and it diverted to kch. part has been robbed from MGD for MGF.

an aircraft can switch on their apu without any ground equipment unless with the battery in good condition. even for ground equipments, all connectors are standard ports for all aircraft. so no worries about that, just my 3 centsss...

MAS wants audit on planes - RAS aircraft repairs to cost up to RM40m
Sung replied to Robin's topic in General Aviation
mas has started the audit few days ago, the neutral party they invited is the stork fokker representatives. currently doing assestment on the 2 fax f50 in szb. -
MAS external audit has been started these few days starting with 2 fax f50 in szb, it's a neutral party. Firefly operations will be run by berjaya air in terminal 3.

mpe is not refurbished, it's still in the old configuration.

With 25 minutes of turn around time and can't afford to lose time for delay, the LAE can't do any rectification, that's what happened. Or Red Tail airline doesn't has any spares for it, who knows...
-
737 MTW and MLW have not much different, it can land without dumping any fuel, it's up to the pilot to decide

FAX using 7 F50, 1 has no both engines and used for spares for other 6 operating f50. -
B737-3/4/5 using CFM56-3 series eng which using PMC while B737-6/7/8/9 using CFM56-7 series eng which using EEC. Both engine pylons are also different between classic and NG. One is box looked and one is curve looked. Classic using trailing edge triple slotted flap and total of 10 spoilers while NG using trailing edge double slotted flaps and with total of 12 spoilers. They are slight different in the system such as the hydraulic system in term of components position. But overall, the classic and ng have the similar system even their flight control system also using purely only cable.

Winglets not really help in fuel economy for the operators. Although it reduces vortexs, but it increases weight to the aircraft which will increase fuel consumption. If it helps so much, why didn't the 777 use winglets, right? 777 has the best aerodynamical wing in any other commercial aircraft compared with those with winglets. Not all 747-400 has winglets. one of the example like JAL 747-400, JA8908, it has no winglets as it only fly short distance, normally winglets will only be effective when the aircraft is flying long haul but increase drags and fuel consumptions in short haul.

MAS Wants New Planes For New Routes To Be Profitable
Sung replied to Fairul's topic in General Aviation
I thought the news mentioned about "Narrow Body"? It can be either 737 NG or A320, 2 possibilities. If they wanted to reduce variations in MH fleets to reduce maintenance and training costs, 737 NG would be the preferable as it has the same system as 737 Classic only it's in digital. -
RMAF F/A 18 can't go for war or any dogfight as they don't have the ammo for it when they buy the F/A 18. So, they normally only use it for patrolling.
