I think it's just an excuse given by AK. It'll still be a while before AK starts deploying their Airbuses on this route and till that time comes, they would still use the B733s. I think perhaps the true reason is due to poor loads.

SQ has a lot of connecting traffic ex-KUL to other destinations though.

I'd rather have a friendly and smiling thick framed stewardess than to have a model slim but nasty and unfriendly stewardess serving me.

I think SQ impose the same requirement on their FAs as well. Well I think they will moan about discrimination.

Unflattering to larger women heh ? Wait till they start wearing uniforms like what the ladies in MH and SQ wear. There'd be a massive protest then perhaps.

Yup, did notice that their agreement included ADL. Wonder which city can they interline with via ADL though because one would think that just MEL and SYD would suffice.

We know that MH will be an airline partner for Velocity but what about DJ ? Will they become an airline partner with Enrich as well ? No mention of that anywhere.

On top of that AK operates 5x daily between KUL and BKK as well.

It was a good thing that I managed to try out this route when I was back in IPH for the holidays last July. IPH would now officially be a sleepy hollow airport.

Well that's the way they work around. I have taken a wait-and-see approach on their claims of "Coming Soon".

IIRC, Yoyo plies the Ipoh - KLIA MTB - KLIA LCCT vv 6 times a day. Apparently Triton plies the Ipoh - KLIA MTB route as well, not too sure how frequent though. Many travel agents that have tour groups departing ex-KUL organise their own charter buses down to KLIA as well.

Haven't seen it yet. Not sure if they'll broadcast the ad in Australia.

I did a random search for the 1st week of Nov. Was quoted the same fare on booking class Q. Ticket valid for 6 months.

Is that price for a 35-day ticket or a 1 year ticket ?
