  1. Read from Berita Harian today, yesterday's flight was delayed for more than 2 hrs as the A/c could not land in Terengganu due to bad weather. Any idea where they divert the a/c?
  2. I was in Sibu a few weeks back. Nice town. Huge river.

  9. On my flight to Miri last Monday (21st July 08 MH2596). Didn't know they've added Fried Rice to the menu, so I ate Burger King before the flight or else I could've save my RM$..... Wasn't that tasty after all. The other option was Pineapple pizza. Dunno how it look as everybody in my row took the Fried Rice. On the return flight, 24th July, same option only that its fried rice with crabmeat, the taste? even worse than the above. Minus the chocolate but with a biscuit (both my kids didn't even open the plastic packet) and fruits and a jelly. Talk about 5star service huh
  10. How come, cannot tapao ka? Toilet break more credible I would say
  11. I believe the airline choice is always Malaysian, Captain, even for overseas trips unless MH does not fly there.
  12. A LOW cost carrier with a 5 star service what is wrong with that? A HIGH cost carrier with a so call 5 star service that i'm worried about.
  13. My office (at least) still does not allow you to travel with Air Asia.
  14. MMEA is a new entity created only 2-3 years ago consisting of ex-navy and other enforcement agencies personnel such as Customs, Fisheries Dept and Marine Dept/police. The equipment were also hand me down from these agencies. Initially there'll be some overlapping of functions between these agencies but slowly the transition is taking place.
  15. Tn Haji, senang dapat Hotel? Saya terpaksa tidur di chalet di Marang. Rancangan saat akhir. [Easy getting hotel rooms? last minute planning] but might as well.....
  16. I went toTerengganu last week for a litle RnR. Wouldn't miss the compulsory airport visit beside the sea while eating "sotong goreng tepung" (fried squid covered with batter). Here's some pictures of land reclamation for the runway extension. The extension it seems covers both ends. Love the sea, too bad can't swim, very dangerous.
  17. So does this cousin of mine in Jerantut
  18. "Asked if AirAsia had agreed to move out of Terminal Two to the main terminal once it is ready, Lajim said that they had more or less agreed following a series of meetings chaired by officials from the Transport Ministry." That is one way of putting it, "I don't wanna move but since you make me move then I'll move!"
  19. Ewan, U won once didn't you? Tiger pics?
  20. Nope, govt offices must acquire their tickets (OGS) thru travel company, not directly from MH offices. My office is directly infront of Putrajaya MH office and we still go thru travel agent. Officer personally, yes they may.
  21. Is this for real? Man sues JetBlue for making him sit on toilet By SAMUEL MAULL NEW YORK A New York City man is suing JetBlue Airways Corp. for more than $2 million because he says a pilot made him give up his seat to a flight attendant and sit on the toilet for more than three hours on a flight from California. Gokhan Mutlu, of Manhattan's Inwood section, says in court papers the pilot told him to "go 'hang out' in the bathroom" about 90 minutes into the San Diego to New York flight because the flight attendant complained that the "jump seat" she was assigned was uncomfortable, the lawsuit said. Mutlu was traveling on a a "buddy pass," a standby travel voucher that JetBlue employees give to friends, from New York to San Diego on Feb. 16, and returned to New York on Feb. 23, the lawsuit said. Initially, Mutlu was told a flight attendant had taken the last seat on the plane, but then he was advised she would sit in the employee "jump seat," meaning he could have the last seat, the lawsuit said. The pilot told him 1 1/2 hours into the five-hour flight that he would have to relinquish the seat to the flight attendant, court papers say. But the pilot said that Mutlu could not sit in the jump seat because only JetBlue employees were permitted to sit there, the lawsuit said. When Mutlu expressed reluctance to go sit in the bathroom, the pilot, who was not named in the lawsuit, told him that "he was the pilot, that this was his plane, under his command that (Mutlu) should be grateful for being on board," the lawsuit said. The aircraft hit turbulence and passengers were directed to return to their seats, but "the plaintiff had no seat to return to, sitting on a toilet stool with no seat belts," court papers say. Some time later, a male flight attendant knocked on the restroom door and told Mutlu he could return to his original seat, court papers say. Mutlu's lawsuit, filed Friday in Manhattan's state Supreme Court, says JetBlue negligently endangered him by not providing him with a seat with a safety belt or harness, in violation of federal law. A JetBlue spokesman declined comment on the lawsuit Monday.
