I doubt the 731 and 732s of those days fly 5-6 hrs nonstop.

Honolulu, Harbin among 5 new destinations for Scoot
Mushrif A replied to alberttky's topic in General Aviation
MH has always been serving hot meals on this sector. And hot usually means lukewarm or not freezing, so ... -
You will also see a sharp drop in wkly frequencies by MH on the JED route, for same reason. No umrah pax, no biz pax as the country goes on holiday for about 2wks.
-
Prob a temporary seasonal cessation just ahead of the Hajj period as that route prob catered to largely Umrah pax.

MAB on track to get five star Skytrax status

If you like chix kurma, chix makhani or the once-in-a-blue-month lamb tikka masala in MH economy, HNML is the way to go. -
MAB on track to get five star Skytrax status
Mushrif A replied to Roy Chin's topic in General Aviation
Yes, the chix kurma is still quite tasty and you can still get it these days if you are fortunate. Just order HNML. -
SQ too facing similar issues on the PVG route. Not specific to MH.
-
Maybe affected folks should start telling MAVCOM to look into this matter.
-
They are not gone. Still around including the new liveried ones. About 1/6 of the fleet has no IFE and with old J and Y seats
-
Well, you wont get downgraded to Y for lack of a J cabin but everything else can also be said about MH 738 services.

MAB Orders 10 Boeing 737 MAX 10 with Lie-Flat Business Class Seats
Mushrif A replied to RaymondT's topic in General Aviation
Or look at Aer Lingus 757. Uses Vantage seats like those on MH 330s Or Gulfair 320s used on the longer sectors like to European cities. -
But you still cannot amend the booking like change of dates and flights.

Qatar Diplomatic Crisis - Airspace Closure, Qatar Airways
Mushrif A replied to Kee Hooi Yen's topic in General Aviation
Ramadhan is traditionally a low travel season. Most middle easterners and Msians / Muslim travellers prefer not to travel during this time. This explains the low load which this time around also coincides with the travel blockade in the GCC. -
It is like a con-job. It is not quite like the usual redemption of points for flights but rather a redemption of points for cash. Of course, the conversion rate will be extremely very very poor.
-
The Enrich redemption feels like sh1t too, even for MH flights. The redemption is now a "pay for miles" scheme (con) - and it is just horrible. Also, it is not user friendly - if the selected fare is a Z or other "non-redeemable" fare bucket, the system just defaults to payment in cash with no mention whatsoever about the redemption. Very few people out there would pay attention or know about fare buckets.
-
And still no Enrich... and still no Multicity booking ... And the ios app still does not accept previous yet-to-be-flown bookings based on ticket numbers (maybe I'm just being stubborn as the app did hint its preference for SQ tickets/flights ...)

Btw, is that from the electronic version of GP? Seems somebody has spotted Bellew's faux-pas on why Muslims fast and corrected it. In the printed versions that I have, he said that Muslims fast to commemorate the revelation of the Quran. Too bad they didnt also correct the aircraft model type that was given to Najib but probably almost nobody saw this discrepancy.
-
Well that's interesting if the folks who may be doing the painting knows nothing about it. You can pick up the June GP mag from any of the seats and read what Bellew said!
-
Can you say more? like when or which frame will adorn the flag livery? It also assumes what Bellew said in the mag is still accurate. He did wrongly say within the same article that the model given to Najib was an A333.
-
In the latest June GP mag, Bellew said that one A330 will wear this Negaraku livery from July. There is already one A330 in the hangar today. Maybe that will be repainted?
