  1. There was a MH B777-200s at the MAS Hangar in BKI...is this the reason for such chartered?
  2. Removing of surcharge may implies an increase in air ticket, this is just another way of marketing skills.
  3. Again, not something new, politician always have a different view than MH management....sad to say that is probably why MH is not making money
  4. Im not quite sure if MH had lowered the surcharge, i made a random search flight to HKG departing from BKI adnd find out that the surcharge still remaining t RM300++ level.
  5. Isaac, you're right and yet MH is lack behind CX and SQ in theirs' inflight product. For instance, CX had launched a new economy class with a new shell to protect passengers space. I dont see any new product from MH at this moment.
  6. Not sure....but Jetstar shall be able to benefit from this task.
  7. Yes, i agreed. Such impact will sure be damaging for MH and Silkair.
  8. No doubt, sad to say that MH is loosing its lustre.
  9. I regreted to say that by then MH will no longer have a product that is superior than some of the tip top airlines such as SIA and CX. The A330s and B777-200s will be outdated by then.
  10. I don't think that's a concern as long as the ticket is valid....
  11. Unless the government is willing to use our tax payers money to finance such lease but again that is not a good idea.
  12. So during off peak, the aircraft may not be fully utilised. If they are going to lease the aircraft, they still have to pay....where are they going to get the fund from? In the past, Sabah was once served by Australian Airlines which operates few weekly flights to KK but sad to say that the demand is low. I believe the Malaysian Government is not fully committed to promote east Malaysia. Sad to sa that, the infrastructure at Sabah and Sarawak are still far lack behind.
  13. In my personal view, if the government is not making enough efforts to promote Sabah and Sarawak, the airlines may not be able to survive in the long terms.
  14. Guess Mikex2 Romeo is deployed for TPE flight lately. My outbound and inblund flight also on board MMR last week.
  15. Perhaps MH management is creative but that's certainly not the way to respond to a ever competetive airline industry. It's insane. MH is already loosing market share and i dont foresee such implementation will enhance loading in the long run.
  16. I was on MH069 from TPE to BKI on 21/9/2008 and the flight is a little bid bumpy....as a result of turbulence.
  17. Seems like Bank Rakyat owns this plane though it just another creative way of promoting this government owned bank.
  18. I shall only spend 6 days 5 nites in Taipei, basically just a city break.
  19. Even if the aircraft is repairable, i wonder how they transport the necessary equipment to such a remote area.
  20. Bro, thanks for the link. I checked with MH yesteday, the flight to Taipei resumed yesterday. Hopefully, eveything goes smoothly.
  21. I guess thay are charging premium price for those who are willing to pay....
  22. I am keeping myself update from time to time since I had booked flight to Taipei departing from BKI on 16/9/2008.
