Pieter C. 5 Report post Posted April 1, 2009 Yesterday, a UN-meeting was held about Afghanistan @ The Hague, and a lot of deligates arrived at AMS to join this; unfortunately I missed the USoA C-32 (Hillary Clinton) and the Rossiya IL-96, both of which were parked at Schiphol in a secured area (picture can be seen using the scramble-link mentioned in my signature: look for 31mar09). Compared to my NATO-meet of October 2007 pictures, we had some interesting aircraft this time: Repubblica Italiana Airbus-319 now (versus Falcon 50): Fuerza Aerea Espanola Falcon 50 (like previous time): Greek Air Force Gulfstream-5 now (i.s.o. Embraer E-135): German Air Force Bombardier CL-601 (i.s.o. Airbus 310-300): Minister Holbrook flew in with this Gulfstream-5 (and Hillary used a 757): The French flew in with this Falcon-50, unlike last time's Airbus A319: Finally, the Czechs flew in with the CL-601, unfortunately, and not using the venerable YAK-40: Hope, you like this selection; Photobucket is really slow and it took me 7 hours to upload 21 pictures... Pieter C. 5 Report post Posted April 2, 2009 Glad you're enjoying the EHAM pictures, guys; here are some more, taken during the last few months of time... Royal Air Force C-130's make regular fuel-stops nowadays @ AMS: PH-CKC 'resting' before being parked 'in the desert' : PH-BGG one hour after arriving from PAI via YYJ: The former Ryanair EI-CST now wearing a new Canjet-livery, just before departure to Lasham/UK: The sad remains of TC-JGE, being placed into Hangar 4 for further investigation: One of the few A-318 business-jets visiting AMS and registered in Malta:

Pieter C. 5 Report post Posted April 23, 2009 Some oldies Pieter, this year we get HV/GOL hybrids Quite curious to those liveries! Here you go, Cornelis, 1st GOL picture taken inside the hangar about 5 hours after arrival, and being worked/stickered on already... Here some more, with also showing PR-GIC/PH-HST: both should be operational by this weekend (25-26mar09)
Pieter C. 5 Report post Posted April 23, 2009 I noticed that there is a white Piaggio Avanti in the background of the Luftwaffe photo MIR, Here's a full-frame picture of that Avanti: Radzi's former workhorse, this time in KLM colours; how many hours did you make on them, Captain ? Although taken already in January, I still want to share with you this one: Swiss used to operate this Helvetic F100 a lot on their flights to/from AMS last Winter: VLM and KLM cityhopper ceased to operate to LCY from AMS, and has been replaced by these RJ85's of Cityjet (the new AF colours remind me a lot of this red stripe): Contrary to what I said previously, the KLM Freighters will not be parked @ VCV or Marana, but will remain 'parked' @ AMS: The previously shown SX-BGS of Aegean has been painted now all-white, for return to the leasing company: Just a scenic shot of a Virgin Gal in a typical Dutch 'cloud setting'... : Hope, you've all enjoyed this small contribution of mine
Chaity 1 Report post Posted April 25, 2009 "Radzi's workhorse, what was the previous rego in 9M ?" Correct me if I'm wrong: but Radzi now no more on 737, right ? This KLM 737-400 never operated by MH before... for the mix-up...

Pieter C. 5 Report post Posted May 5, 2009 Is there any truth in rumours heard sometime ago that KLM will be painting more aircraft in retro liveries to mark its 90th Anniversary. If so, do you know the schedule and what aircraft are involved? AFAIK, PH-BXA will be the only one; next 'special livery' will be PH-BVD in Skyteam colours... See you end-of-July in SIN ? Pieter C. 5 Report post Posted May 7, 2009 Saddened to see BDR's life end this way: she was supposed to return to her lessor, however, being bankrupt there is no way but to park her in a corner of the airport devoid of titles and tail-logo and wait for better times Love the colourscheme of this little devil:
