MIR 2 Report post Posted June 16, 2009 Channel 10 Newscopter departing from Jandakot after a quick fuel top-up infront of the observation hill. Ex-Royal Australian Air Force aircraft, New Zealand Aerospace CT-4A. RAAF used this aircraft before the PC-9. Making a rare appearance yesterday was this Waco YMF-5. Seems quite tricky to taxi this Biplane China Southern Flying College's Citation Bravo airborne off Runway 24R Managed to capture this dramatic moment yesterday..fortunately the instructor was able to recover the aircraft. Thanks for Viewing Mir
Ignatius 4 Report post Posted June 16, 2009 Fwoaaahhhh.. that plane doing low level low speed aerial display ah? hahaha.. Was it because of sudden wind gust or he almost stalled his plane on approach? LOoking at the aileron inputs.. it seems like the action is deliberate? it wasnt countering the banking of the aircraft though.. hmmm again not an expert hahaha.. Nice stuff MIR.. so what brings you to my backyard at jandakot?? got bored at YPPH and decided YPJT for the evening?

MIR 2 Report post Posted June 17, 2009 How nice if the China Southern Flying College's Citation Bravo's registration the "Z" put behind "T" Hehe..thats exactly what I thought when I looked at the rego. Fwoaaahhhh.. that plane doing low level low speed aerial display ah? hahaha.. Was it because of sudden wind gust or he almost stalled his plane on approach? LOoking at the aileron inputs.. it seems like the action is deliberate? it wasnt countering the banking of the aircraft though.. hmmm again not an expert The aircraft supposed to perform a touch and go but did't manage to touch down at all and became uncontrolable inches above the runway. It happened twice that day! Hrmm..not sure the real reason of it, i'm no expert too so what brings you to my backyard at jandakot?? Bored with YPPH traffic lah..repositioned to the airport down the road to nail down some exotics. Btw, there are new arrival procedures to YPPH..some flights heading towards PER Rwy03 will fly low over Jandakot. Shot from the observation hill at YPJT A pair of Fugro Airborne Survey aircrafts.. CASA 212. The pilots were wearing bondomes..weird. Cessna with a tail The tail boom 'stinger' is actually a magnetometer for aerial survey work.
Prashant K 0 Report post Posted June 17, 2009 I think the incident with the C152 above could be that there was quite a bit of cross-wind and the student did not have enough aileron into the wind to counter the drift. So the wind probably blew the wing away from the wind thats why the second picture in that sequence has the left wing almost on its side. I have experienced it before, it is really really scary. MIR 2 Report post Posted September 12, 2009 Jabiru J230, Home built Kit.. but i am not sure why the rego is as such and not vh registered. Ignatius, i found this website..whereby you can check the Recreation Aviation Australia aircraft register: http://www.auf.asn.au/admin/aircraft_database_registration.html MIR, Thanks, i thought why not playing around with the aperature.. Is this T-28D Trojan in WW2? The trojan(51-3588) was involved in the Laos 'Secret War' in 1960s. The aircraft was recovered from Thong Hi Hin Air Base, Laos. Trucked to Bangkok and shipped to Australia in December 1988.
