KC Sim 2 Report post Posted March 10, 2008 While Malaysian friends were casting their votes in the General Elections on Saturday, it was like a rumah terbukah for Middle-Eastern carriers at Singapore Changi Airport. First to visit was the B747-400F of Emirates Skycargo . . . you cannot imagine how long I have waited to photograph this freighter. Saw it once in BKK but failed to photograph it, saw it once landing over Changi Beach (with Tsen Tsan) but the weather was rotten. Finally . . . Immediately after the runway was re-opened after the inspection / cleaning, first in was this old friend - the B747-300 of Saudi Arabian Airlines. I was glad to catch this grand old aunty as it will soon be replaced by the B777-200ER, just like KLM here in SIN. Rounding off the open house was Etihad's B777-300ER making a dash from Brisbane and coming in real early to catch the setting sun. KC Sim
