Oh by the way, back to the title..... we're there to catch the orange cutie Fokker 70 from the Nertherland small but powerful aircraft.... cant do any close up on Nose or Tail with my 80-200mm..... she's just too small and cute lightning was bad... but to capture this special occassion is Priceless. More picture next week (packing up and getting ready to balik kampung... ) in the meant time stay tuned for pictures from our friends
Pieter C. 5 Report post Posted October 19, 2006 Well done, Kevin, she looks stunning with her two shining engines Where is Nertherland, btw It's always a difficult aircraft to take shots of, because of the grey registration and seal on a white fuselage Moreover the haze didn't help either Anyhow, you got a rare aircraft in front of your lens Hope to see more of this cutie soon
Sandeep G 1 Report post Posted October 19, 2006 Where is Nertherland, btw Nice catch! Nertherland must be somewhere near Never-Never land?? Gibby has provided her proposed schedule whilst in Australia from here: I hope I'm not reposting anything that has alread been mentioned somewhere here

The Nose... and the Tail... Sorry... aircraft is cute... so max zoom at 300mm x 1.5 ... still need cropping The whole body shot... using 70-300G, (as compared to Kev's 80-200 f/2.8 up there... ) The HRH honoring the Flag... And off she go to Never Never Land.... All those with the guys in the HAZE... Thanks Chaity & Kev for the company in ladang spot BTW... The Canon EOS Digital photgrapher vest is up for sale... Chaity 1 Report post Posted October 20, 2006 (edited) My turn to post some of the cute orange plane photos. I was at the ladang early at about 8AM. The weather was WOW ..... hazy + misty with bonus of cloudy sky with no sun visible A little consolation, some kind soul cleared the path to our regular spotting area. You can drive you car in without getting any scratches. With Norman & Kevin Teh joining later, we spotted these planes approaching at around 9:40AM We were praying for the cute plane not to turn into Alpha3/4, our wish was granted with the MAS B734 grabbed Alpha3. So the cute plane continues rolling. She is getting closer and the B734 is getting further Thanks to the hazy & misty conditions plus the grey seal and rego, I had some "good" time playing with PS More misty shot with some small birds and big birds in frame Away she goes and have a pleasant journey ! I would say we made the right choice staying in ladang instead of Oscar Hotel as she rotates real early Those are my shots for the cute orange fokker. Still have some misty shots of other planes, anyone wanted to see ? They might be discouraging you from going spotting Edited October 20, 2006 by Chaity

Pieter C. 5 Report post Posted October 20, 2006 I would say we made the right choice staying in ladang instead of Oscar Hotel as she rotates real early Generally, the F70 is an excellent performer and with only 10 souls on board, she lifted off early on her way to Surabaya...kudos to the 3 captains for taxying all the way to the end
