Oh by the way, back to the title..... we're there to catch the orange cutie Fokker 70 from the Nertherland :yahoo:

IPB Image

small but powerful aircraft.... cant do any close up on Nose or Tail with my 80-200mm..... she's just too small and cute :p

lightning was bad... but to capture this special occassion is Priceless. More picture next week (packing up and getting ready to balik kampung... :yahoo: ) in the meant time stay tuned for pictures from our friends ;)

Well done, Kevin, she looks stunning with her two shining engines :good:

Where is Nertherland, btw :o :pardon:

It's always a difficult aircraft to take shots of, because of the grey registration and seal on a white fuselage

Moreover the haze didn't help either :(

Anyhow, you got a rare aircraft in front of your lens ;)

Hope to see more of this cutie soon :good:

IPB Image

Sorry... aircraft is cute... so max zoom at 300mm x 1.5 ... still need cropping :pardon:

The whole body shot... using 70-300G, (as compared to Kev's 80-200 f/2.8 up there... :p )

IPB Image

The HRH honoring the Flag...

IPB Image

And off she go to Never Never Land.... :pardon:

IPB Image

Thanks Chaity & Kev for the company in ladang spot ;)

Kevin, excellent shots :clapping: It is fun nonetheless to capture unique aircrafts in unique color schemes in any conditions. First time I saw this Fokker!

Again nice work....

Chaity looking forward for yours...

My turn to post some of the cute orange plane photos.

I was at the ladang early at about 8AM.

The weather was WOW ..... hazy + misty with bonus of cloudy sky with no sun visible

A little consolation, some kind soul cleared the path to our regular spotting area. You can drive you car in without getting any scratches. :D

With Norman & Kevin Teh joining later, we spotted these planes approaching at around 9:40AM

IPB Image

We were praying for the cute plane not to turn into Alpha3/4, our wish was granted with the MAS B734 grabbed Alpha3. So the cute plane continues rolling. :D :good:

IPB Image

She is getting closer and the B734 is getting further

IPB Image

Thanks to the hazy & misty conditions plus the grey seal and rego, I had some "good" time playing with PS :p

IPB Image

More misty shot with some small birds and big birds in frame :)

IPB Image

Away she goes and have a pleasant journey !

IPB Image

I would say we made the right choice staying in ladang instead of Oscar Hotel as she rotates real early

IPB Image

Those are my shots for the cute orange fokker.

Still have some misty shots of other planes, anyone wanted to see ? They might be discouraging you from going spotting

Yeap, consider full day leave even I was back at the office at 3PM.

Weather will turn better in Klang Valley as people started going back to hometown, less traffic and pollution :p

Generally, the F70 is an excellent performer and with only 10 souls on board, she lifted off early on her way to Surabaya...kudos to the 3 captains for taxying all the way to the end ;)

Sneeze... the aircraft is an official Dutch Government aircraft to transport

Dutch royalties as well as top politicians. For this case, she night-stopped in KUL

on the way to Australia for Dutch Royal Official visit there.

Nice shots Norman, Kev & Chaity!

Hope weather in Sydney isn't too bad on the day of her arrival.

Was at the ATC tower today - I was actually IN the tower :yahoo: Weather wasn't too good, but managed to catch MH's 744 departure from the tower. B)

Give it a week or so and it'll be uploaded to the Sydney Coverage thread.
