Woke up early on the 17th and headed out to the airport... hmm.. still dark and it is a bit late... then I heard it on my scanner... set my canon to ISO800 and then I saw it dropping out of the early morning fog...: YES!! My Kicap is in town together with Milo 3-in-1 !! Hmm.. interesting shots.. low light, low camera speed, panning... must practice more of this kind of shots. Saw this one coming in before my kicap... apparently this one took all the airspace between India and ZRH and caused my kicap to have a short delay! More coming! Azman MN 1 Report post Posted March 19, 2006 Radzi, IS mode 2. That's right. Just checked again. The SQ shot is ISO1600. 1/13s. So I got lucky there. The MH is ISO800, 1/30s. Moana, You a pilot? where? Kelvin, This plane is working very hard, not to mention its pilots. It was in Zurich last Wednesday too. So: Tues Midnight dep KUL for ZRH Wed. arr in ZRH. about 5 hours beauty sleep then back to KUL. Thur arr KUL in the morning and must have gone to Shanghai and back. Thur night ZRH rotation again... It was cold, windy and foggy (but someone's gotta do it instead of going to a ball for example...) though we heard that the sun will come out later. Even the birds thought that March should be warmer as they already flew back from a warmer climate... As it was windy, runway 10 was in operation which means that some of the aircraft were taxiing right in front of us... so we get some Azahan/Pieter kind of shots: Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
Azman MN 1 Report post Posted March 19, 2006 At about 11am, there is usually a 1 hour break before more heavies would depart... so went to get a car wash, and then coffee and bratwurst to help us to defrost..... and at noon, we went to the next spot, the runway 16 line up... still gray... but improving... yeah.. the sun coming out, woohoo.. some tail shots... and some big engined 340s for a change (not like the Swiss 340s) this one going to Phuket. Probably all seats taken.
