S M Tang 0 Report post Posted October 19, 2012 2 diversions and both by AK/D7. Pure coincidence or is it something to do with AK/D7 carrying just the minimum fuel required for that particular flight?
TK 0 Report post Posted October 19, 2012 Carrying minimum sector fuel is fine. You cannot land into one airport, you divert. Sometimes an extra is good...maybe for Holding fuel due to busy airspace or even weather. It is all up to Pilots Judgment.
Lock SH 0 Report post Posted October 19, 2012 Sometime, company policy' especially LCC, dicouraged pilot to carry extra fuel as well. I have seen an AK a/c in KBR was delayed for 3 hours because unable to return to KUL due to insufficient fuel for the next sector. AK's KBR staff had to call Westar to buy fuel and it was at 2330 at night.

TK 0 Report post Posted October 23, 2012 Bye bye "Mike Mike India" 22 October 2012 23 October 2012 around 11:00 am Was suppose to catch Shaheen, then was inform that she will go on Thursday. Had my breakfast at Arafah....then stop by the fence to catch what ever plane that will cross my lens.. Saw a C-130 in a distance crossed the runway...i thought it will be the normal RMAF.....not this time! A-1328 This is not C-130 (Military) Its actual type is Lockheed L-100-30 ex PK-PLW Pelita. TNI-AU - Indonesian Air Force. 31st Squadron. The military scheme blends well with Subang background.
