Spotting information from Japan

Very nice shots there Kian Hong! Love the 'James Bond' and the Pokemon shot the most. Did you get any pictures of the ground crew waving as the plane is pushed back?

kianhong,

Excellent shots of the variety of specials! :clapping:

Just a Q about HND - where are the viewing galleries at that airport? I believe there are spots from each terminal where you can have a good view...

Like Pieter, I am also planning a trip to Japan next year.

Thanks guys ... HND indeed is a great airport to catch all the ANA n JAL specials which are not to be seen outside Japan. All the observation decks located at the top floor of each terminal - T1, T2 and international. They are open air with wire fence separating u from the aircraft. All these fence have lens holes to cater to spotter. And I believe all obs deck have basic facilities like cafeteria or toilets.

Sandeeep : Both SQ flights are either arriving too late (SQ634 2305) or too early (SQ636 0515). No train for me to go back to hotel if i stayed. :p

Here's a few more from HND. Enjoy!

More JAL One World - B777-300 Domestic (JA752J) & B777-200 Domestic (JA771J).

Two specials in one - JAL Sky Eco JA8984 and Arashi Jet JA8982

love this shot so much~ by the way, is that a Fairy wheel in the background?

My hunch is that the Ferris wheel in the picture might be the one either in Yokohama named "Minato Mirai 21" (Futuristic Port 21) or Diamond and Flower Ferris Wheel in Kasairinkai Park (葛西臨海公園)which is next to Tokyo Disneyland?

Most likely be the one at Kasairinkai Park

The ferris wheel should be that one in Odaiba area, which is opposite HND. It changes color every minute and can be seen from Rainbow bridge, HND, Tokyo Tower and Tokyo's ring road leading to Tokyo Bay area.

All of Japanese spotters were surprised because we didn't know the Djibouti Government had replaced the aircraft type from B727-100 to B767-200!!!

Suzuki-san, is this your picture?

if it is, it looks nice!

if its not, it still looks nice!

Sorry :sorry: it's not my picture...

Now MH operates flight service between Haneda and Kota Kinabalu 3 times per week.

The flight schedule is

from Kota Kinabalu ETA 23:00 (Mon,Wed,Fri)

To Kota Kinabalu ETD 01:20 (Tue,Thu,Sat)

Everytime is "Vampire"

However, we can take a photo from an observation deck of new international terminal of Haneda because it opens 24h!

I want to get her now, but it's too cold to take a night shots in winter season in Japan :vava:

Currently, around my town is 1 degrees!!
