Indonesia carrier TransNusa set for Malaysian launch KUALA LUMPUR: TransNusa, an Indonesian airline, is gearing up for its Malaysian launch "very soon" after finally receiving the greenlight to start operating here. To add on, the gov even allow new carrier to operate in the already crowded market.

I would say the non-existent planning for their fleet kinda of save them during covid period.. Now with the travelling is back with 2023/2024 most probably be the peak point especially with China start to open again they better expediate the dellivery of a330neo and a bonus if they can get more a350, of course the funding will be major issue.

Really hope that MH will stick with DOH flight even after QR sort out their aircraft shortage... With the upcoming World cup in Qatar this will help to feed their DOH flight, the timing for second flight seems to be good for this.

I don't think it rubbish, AF-KLM admitted they “had previously been in contact with Malaysia Airlines’s shareholders”. Basically all this proposal have been rejected by the Gov and the details only being leaked now. Maybe someone not at the same page with Khazanah which preferred AAG proposal. I would prefer if gov let the foreign entity(AF-KLM/JAL/Malindo) to take over MH rather than AAG. Too bad IAG not interested.

They did order the 789(most probably for their long haul and expansion plan) but then you said its more of a political stunt... I'm guessing the reasons why they are not proceed with 789 and 339 most probably because of not enough cash and the Gov still have no clue on what to do with MAB

I think u got it wrong overthere.. they had MOU to buy the 789 earlier which unfortunately already expired. They still have a lease option with ALC for 2 A339.

Playing with MH website and realized that now MH partner with BA on most of it's flight to Europe... some with KLM and EK. However the price quite expensive...

For me, the interior is good enough for a medium haul flight.. the important thing they need to make sure the IFE and also wifi working for this aircraft..!!

Congrats to PEN..!! quite surprise they didn't start it with a tag on first like they did with HKT.

In Air Asia, the master himself dealing with all the related politic issues, while CEO of AK an D7 focus solely on respective airline. Same with OD, which have the designated ambassador to help them. With MH, the CEO need to tackle both.

IMO, the way he growth EY and development of premium service something that MH can emulate. Also, in MH don't think the job scope will involve buying other airlines.

Agree with you on this..... i'm actually kinda of sad he's leaving MH, to me he had more impact than CM previously. Wonder who will replace him next, will it be local or foreigner. If Khazanah still want a foreigner to be CEO, James Hogan is free at the moment(i think) maybe Khazanah can try to get him?

If not mistaken they are not confirming anything yet and said they are still exploring some of the options available... it just us who speculate a lot of things

Their JV with KL still intact. i hope they will fly to MAD and JV with IB to destination in South America.
