  1. Great choice. I have great admiration for her as she is a person who can get things done.
  2. Maybe tail section still available for sale
  3. Took this at the one in Jakarta which also has AK branding
  4. Spotted this at the new extension to The Curve. Can't see the reg but it's an AirAsia Indonesia B737-300 Seats removed but rest of cabin still intact. No idea what it is for but most likely a restaurant.
  5. MD 11 has THREE engines
  6. Transmile has the following flights TH541 departing 0320hrs to KCH, TH317 at 0505 to BKI, TH545 at 0545 to KCH and TH3508 from HKG arriving 0705hrs. These could be the culprits in the morning and there is a TH flight to HKG departing at 2115hrs could be the loud plane around "9 ish..pm" by Cire. All operated by B72F.
  7. Some of the comments made are indeed childish. I expected members of an aviation forum to be more mature when it comes to aviation and incidents like this. This is an example of why I have been not very active any more in MW.
  8. This was owned by Tan Sri Lee of country heights. It was a B737-300 converted into an executive jet. Sometimes the PM would "borrow" this jet for official trips and I was lucky enough to be a crew on one of those trips. The plane had 3 cabins, the forward had an extra toilet where normally business class row 1 and 2 would be. It also had 2 sofas that could be used as beds and a dinning table with 2 seats. The middle cabin had 4 sofa/beds and a putting green for the golf kaki. The final cabin was seating for about 20 something pax that had both aft and forward facing seats with dinning tables.
  9. I love the colour and look of the interior. They have got it right this time.
  10. Smart marketing as this video has gone viral!
  11. I think at the moment the first batch of 737 crew will be experienced ex-MH crew not fresh intake.
  12. actually someone has got the correct name! Congratulations!
  13. Yes it is a separate entity in a way. Just like AirAsia & AirasiaX and Malaysia Airlines & MASwings. However same website, same management but different cost centre.
  14. Yes is on track for a December launch. Initial destination will be Sabah and Sarawak before flights to Indonesia once additional aircraft are available. Operating from the MTB makes sense to me as it will be the only plus point if I HAD to fly a LCC. as AK has better and newer planes and more frequencies. Most people just hate the current LCCT and KLIA2 will not be ready till 2012. As for the name......here is a clue, the tag on to Firefly has 3 letters.
  15. Some information that I have gathered. 1. The first 2 737-400 are coming from ex-Garuda and ex-Air One 2. It will NOT be called Firefly..... it will be called Firefly... (like MASwings) there will be an add on to the name. Won't let you know yet hehehe 3. The crew uniforms will not be the same as FY 4. It will operate as a true LCC unlike Firefly ATR operations with complementary refreshments but will be BOB 5. They will have male FA's 6. Will operate from the MTB
  16. Thank you Azizul for your detailed explanations. However you can never please everyone and Azizul we all know which is doing better.
  17. Since I can't afford the ticket, can I be a crew? LOL:yahoo:
  18. I don't think this is a new order but taking delivery of the last 3 a/c from the original order of 10 ATR's. Once again our editors/reporters can get the facts right.
  19. Firefly is my favorite airline for intra peninsular flight solely based on the fact that they operate out of Subang. When they operate the 737-400 fleet out of KLIA to Sabah and Sarawak, they would not be on the top of the list as I would prefer MH as it would by then have newer planes (which would be less prone to tech delays) and operate from the main terminal. Air Asia would the second choice as I hate using the LCCT but that will change once the new LCCT is open. Remember the many delays when AK operate the old 737-300. that what I predict will happen to FY with the aging exMH 737-400.
  20. Brilliant! Concise and funny at the same time. I just wish MH will change their current video which so draggy and in some parts the way it's presented, sounds condescending.
  21. From what I read, the report refers to the total cost of the terminal to MAB at RM2billion not the track only. It says the cost for the rail track extension is not known yet.
