No more at Papworth ?
-
Few weeks ago on way back home from SIN, missus and I had a heap load of luggages on the trolley, plus more We were almost certain to 'kena kaw kaw' at kastam - at least a thorough rummage to bottom of bags we thought Instead, managed to just walked past them kastam counters without anyone batting an eyelid (if it need be known, we avoided eye contact)

Better hope the HNA Group stays afloat too Nah, whether Hainan or whoever, I guess the China flights into TWU will happen, soon. The lady minister seem to have made that her signature promise to her electorate - can tahan or not is another issue .... -

MAB New Economy Lite Fares (No Checked Luggage)
BC Tam replied to I. Wong's topic in General Aviation
This removal of "snack and beverage from Economy Lite" decision, if I may opine, will hurt and return to bite those (presumably well intentioned) bean counters at MAB Meal options I can understand (perhaps conditioned so already on AK/D7 flights) but to have crew go through the vetting procedure just for sake of a packet of peanuts and a drink of juice/water ........ real pettiness -
MAB New Economy Lite Fares (No Checked Luggage)

My experience thus far - no one enforces the 7kg/dimensions cabin baggage rule too rigorously here in Malaysia, whether LCC, FSC or the 'hybrid' neither here nor there entity A friend transiting SDK to HKG at BKI recently was called up for exceeding her purchased checked baggage allowance and politely advised to 'redistribute' her baggage weights. Resulted in a slightly heavier and bulkier cabin baggage, but all was good eventually - I believe carrier earned a few brownie points in process as well -
I recall menu choices being flashed on screen on Etihad the last I was on them few years ago It was not interactive though Imagine ordering your breakfast like one would at a McD drive through

Would be interesting to see response from said "Sarawakian CEO" if/when he is to be presented with task again Balance sheet probably afford a vastly different read, though there is the saving grace of not having to disclose publicly one's numbers nowadays

I'm guessing I won't be the only one having Yanni's Aria being (subconsciously) played at back of mind when reading this topic ?

AirAsia move to Avalon Airport from Melbourne's Tullamarine Airport

Talking of 'zig zag ramp' and LGW ..... (this was from nine years ago, not sure if it's still there) Had to trek from check in hall down a labyrinth of corridors (as is common with these heavily modified/repurposed buildings) to holding lounge at ground level, only to have to climb up the flight of stairs again to make use of the aerobridge Nowadays, I get to reminisce those memories when I board an AK flight at BKI -
Trust and accountability count for nothing nowadays anymore

On assumption that manufacturer A does decide to cough up a good trade in deal for the MH 380s, I'm guessing it will be Khazanah who will reap the good fortune whilst MAG will end up having to write off all that has been invested so far in Project Amal, plus whatever consequent liabilities it may incur due to lack of suitable equipment They have already done a deal to reduce 380 order against new orders for 330-900 and 350-900 re. https://www.reuters.com/article/us-airbus-a380-emirates-airline/emirates-agrees-with-airbus-to-reduce-a380-order-to-buy-other-jets-idUSKCN1Q30H7 When they start playing on trade in deals for existing airframes, considering what proportion of EK's fleet is of the entire flying fleet, it will be a different ball game I imagine

Saudi plane turns back to airport after mother forgets baby https://www.scmp.com/news/world/middle-east/article/3001376/saudi-plane-turns-back-airport-after-mother-forgets-baby Two thumbs up to the pilot, ground controller and common sense Cannot imagine what sort of response that 'mother' must have provoked, but I guess we must (at the very least) give her credit for crying out for help in face of consequent embarrassment/inconveniences
