  1. Oh come on. DPS and HKT are single runway airports and they can make do. Don't tell me KK has more tourists than Bali and Phuket.

  3. He was ex-QZ, accumulated close to 5000 hours with them. Dismissed because of similar incident but during that time, a cabin crew reported to operations which then cancelled the flight. He was found to have ingested some sort of psychoactive drug prior to the flight
  4. The jungle area is such a prime real estate with very high visibility in the middle of Sat. I think for years the MAHB folks have been itching to monetize it. And it looks like it will finally becoming a reality.
  5. A friend of mine got his KCH CDG vv for around RM1.4k on QR. The fare was only available ex KCH. Booked in April for travel in Dec. But it was thru a third party website he found while searching thru Skyscanner. He was initially hesitant but everything checked out a few days later when he called QR and cross checked the ticket number given by the site.
  6. Wonder how much their promo fare will be considering you can get QR to Europe for sub RM1.5k if you book at the right time
  7. I know that the Johor royalty does not take MH. If somehow their private jets are not available, they will cross the causeway to get on SQ. Some of the princes even boasted on soc med that SQ is their only choice
  8. Depends of the load I guess. I took J in their 738 last week. Only two of us in J. So only one crew on duty. The rest in Y. But even with a load so light, the crew were not proactive especially post meal service.
  9. It was a time when you need to pay an average of RM900 for a return trip from borneo to KUL
  10. D7 only boards with one aerobridge. Even at klia2 where double aerobridges are available.
  11. What's the weather capability of the Hawk actually? I know that it was a bit cloudy over KL on Friday. I assume the Typhoon is an all weather combat plane hence the ability for them to continue with the flypast
  12. Seasonal until end of December. It will be restarted again during the CNY period. Both will be 4 times weekly
  13. A quick look on FR24 shows that it's not so bad. D7222 to SYD departed just slightly half an hour behind schedule while their 550 to CTS departed slightly more than an hour late. BTW EK342 is just making its approach to KUL now, close to 4 hours late. Wonder what happened in DXB
  14. Liverpool needs to have a presence at this part of the world after Garuda ditched them. Garuda's deal was USD9mil per year. Wonder how much is MH's deal
  15. The Boeing 737-800 lettering on MH's 738 engines. Do they get anything from Boeing from that? I recall reading somewhere long time ago regarding this
  16. Not likely. OD will just join the bandwagon. Like DPS
  17. I use them quite a lot recently. Last month my BKI BTU was cancelled and we were put on a hotel for the night and booked on the BKI BTU flight the next morning. Even with two flights worth of pax the flight was still not full.
  18. I think Tony's keeping quiet coz he acknowledges the lower tax for Asean destinations is a good move, advantageous to them. He's been championing Asean for a while already now so it's a small victory. Aireen's statement is also a bit docile in nature. Unlike the previous ones coming from the Red camp.
  19. Spill it if you know anything! Problems with their new hq? Heard from friends that they will move sometime in Oct. And they are awarding 100 BIG Points to every web/mobile check in done until 22/10. Which I think is a bit weird coz they have an additional charge for counter check in, hence more $$. So if people wanna counter check in, should let them no?
  20. The bulk of leisure travellers go to Asean countries so this will not affect them. Business travellers going international will still travel regardless of the psc rates. D7 will be most affected coz of this as the quantum for klia1 is not significant. BTW the new Mavcom is really efficient in this. Let's see if they are as good as this when it comes to defending travellers' rights.
  21. I'm sure they know. It is meant to be an inside joke I guess as there are a few senior members doing it lately
  22. Or probably because it is cheaper for the SAE boys to do it here
