  1. I don't think so. It's point to point even on domestic flights. I once missed a 'connecting' domestic flight because the initial AK flight got delayed. (BKI->KUL->PEN). AK considered the 2nd flight as a 'no-show'!! So mean...
  2. I know some countries only allow dropping off luggage within 10 minutes after kiosk self check-in. Does anybody know if MH allows kiosk check-in 48 hours early, but only drop off luggage 1 hour before flight? In view of MH's new seating policy, I might resort to such desperate measures...!
  3. LOL.. Fokker Lounge. So ATR passengers wait where?
  4. Ewww... looks ugly to me. I was expecting something 'Heliconia/Hibiscus'-ish. This one looks just too plain simple.
  5. ...but in reality: Our toll is very expensive. Compared to Bangladesh. Our wages are very low. Compared to Japan.
  6. My opinion: QR > EK, but DXB > DOH. It's a see-saw choice to make. But I'd go with EK because QR is only marginally better than EK, while DXB is WAY BETTER than DOH.
  7. Saw this last Sunday
  8. As long as the bus doesn't stop midway to pick up/drop off passengers (maybe tarmac workers), I think you'll have ample time.
  9. DXB is one of the airports in my 'avoid' list! Transits are horrible. Everytime I fly EK, if the transit time is >3 hours, I'll opt for a night stopover at a city hotel. All this just to avoid the terminal transit process. Not surprised that LHR isn't listed too. KUL totally deserves it's high ranking. It's one of the best in the world. I'm sure this list had not taken LCCT into account otherwise it wouldn't have been listed too. Btw, in my personal opinion, I'd rate AMS a little higher than KUL.
  10. Looks like it's having more aircraft parking bays than KLIA proper. This LCCT itself is going to outshine both the MTB and Satellite terminal...
  11. 1st day of launch... and already facing possible lawsuits for breaching others' copyrights? Wow... this is really a big embarassment. Especially for Perakians!
  12. They shouldn't have built KLIA so far away. Because we also burn a lot of fuel just getting to the airport...
  13. Was at the airport this morning and I saw a Japanese 747. Not sure what airline that was... looks a bit like an old JAL, but I'm sure it's not.
  14. I'm just wondering... doesn't AK fly direct between BWN and KUL? Why need to fly BI to BKI in the first place?
  15. I don't understand something... why do the prices differ so much? even goes up to RM 24,907 ?!!! Last time I wanted to book KUL-BKK-DME-BKK-DME economy through the Thai Airways website, the price was something like RM 14k, but when I consulted a travel agency, its only RM 3500. Why are airline websites putting up weird prices? In another case, I wanted to book SVO-AMS oneway by KLM, the price was about 400 euros. But when I selected return SVO-AMS-SVO, the price was cheaper! 350 euros. I booked the return ticket because it was cheaper although I know I was not going to use the return part of the fare. Can anyone explain why airlines do this??
  16. wow.. so many Korean Airs in kk. hopefully next year some companies will charter Asiana so we can see them at BKI at similarly large scale too! kudos to sabah tourism board for promoting sabah successfully in korea. future possibilities: promote in middle east, USA, europe so we can see the likes of a couple of Emirates A380s, some united airlines n deltas, and a few British Airways jumbos chartered at the same time lol...
  17. But AK doing a bloody good job with their marketing. Anyone watching EPL football can see AirAsia logos everywhere! How come MH never advertise like that in UK?
  18. I guess people generally do understand that you get what you pay for in AK. However what irks them about the aerobridge is that (eg: in PEN) AK parks the plane next to an aerobridge, but passengers have to walk downstairs, go under the aerobridge before climbing up steps to the plane. All this with the bridge just a few feet from the plane. Don't you guys think that's annoying? With Malaysia being a tropical country, AK has to consider that it rains here A LOT. Malaysia is not a western country. Up the fare by RM1 for the bridge, I don't think anybody minds.
  19. btw, just curious.. what's the security procedure if not one, but about 50-100 passengers onboard MIDFLIGHT get rowdy? i was on a Qatar Airways flight a few years back. Doha - KUL via Kathmandu. I guess many Nepalese workers to malaysia were onboard making nuisance. for goodness sake, they were standing and some were walking around just prior to touchdown~! IFS shouted n scolded them, but they dun understand english... anyway, IFS were already strapped for landing... shouting across the cabin. lol
  20. oh.. kinda misunderstood that sentence. thx for the enlightenment.. ahh
  21. what?!! BI, KA, OZ, KE will move to T2??! only AK n MH in T1??! did i hear that right??! NOooo..................!!! i'd like to see the terminal coloured with many different airlines and planes... y move them to T2?!!
